Chinese martial artist and online action movie star Xie Miao starred in a wuxia film about a blind swordsman who looked suspiciously like the Japanese Zatoichi.
The film is called "Disobedient" and is the directorial work of a debutant Yanya Bingjia.
The film centers on Cheng Xiazi, a blind swordsman and head of the highest judiciary of the Dali Temple, who speaks out against injustice after meeting a young wine seller named Ni Yan, whose family is being murdered.
With Xie Miao (“Secret Agent”, “Empire of Assassins”, “Ip Man: Awakening”) the ensemble cast includes: Gao Weiman ("Bounty Hungter: Attack of the Giant Snake"), Xiang Hao (duology “Journey to Love”), Liu Ben (“Hello, Beijing!”) and others.
The film appeared in the iQIYI Cloud Cinema online cinema 3 June 2022 year.
For some reason we missed out on the prison action-comedy sequel last year "Escape Brothers" (2020), but when we saw the trailer for the third part of the franchise, we couldn’t ignore this film.
"Escape Brothers 3" also directs Mak Ho Pon, who handled the previous two films.
Synopsis: Former warden Tang is sent to prison on corruption charges, and Jun is put back behind bars after a failed escape. Jun tempts Tan to help him escape again, because the former warden is well acquainted with the prison in which they are sitting. But with a new, competent guard, escaping from prison is no longer so easy.
