Chinese film company Emperor Motion Pictures announced that the green light has been given to the sequel to the successful urban action film "Crossfire" (2021) starring Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse.
However, the sequel will simply be within, as they say, a series of films. That is, Donnie Yen it's not planned there, but Nicholas Tse will play a different role. The same thing happened, for example, with Ian's crime thriller "Chasing Dragons" (2017), a sequel of which was released in 2019 without the title star and with different actors and a different plot.
Director "Crossfire 2" became a strong craftsman Derek Kwok (Hong Kong Danger, Journey to the West, Slam, Wukong). The general producer of the crime action film was a Chinese film star. Andy Lau (“God of Players”, “House of Flying Daggers”, “Shaolin”), who is assigned the main role.
In the future action movie, the plot of which is still unknown, in addition to Andy Lau и Nicholas Tse took part Carlos Chan ("Crossfire"), Chi Xia ("The Gods Trilogy") and martial artist and actor Xie Miao (“Ip Man: Awakening”, “The Blind Sword”).
It’s interesting that he will design the action in the film himself Nicholas Tse with your team. We will keep our finger on the pulse.
The news came that the ex-judo champion, actor and excellent screen fighter Joe Taslim (“Hit and Run”, “Mortal Kombat”, series “Warrior”) will again work together with the Indonesian screenwriter and director Timo Tiajanto (by the way, we recently had a review of his selected filmography), which has already directed Taslim in the title role of a bloody action movie "The night will come for us" (2018)
Tjahjanto himself reported this, adding:
- I love this guy, he is largely the reason why I still work. He [Tasleem] connected me with the right people when I was at my lowest and trusted me to continue working on Night.
Profile resources immediately began to exploit the director’s words, talking about a possible sequel to “Night”, or a spin-off with the heroine Julia Estell starring, about which once upon a time говорил Timo. Others preferred the option in which Tjahjanto and Taslim are working on a remake "Under siege" Steven Seagal, because he's Indonesian presented studio bosses Netflix script for a reimagining of the cult action movie. There was also a possibility that Taslim could become the main villain in the sequel to the action comedy "Big Four" from the same Taslim and Netflix. True, there is simply no information about the development of a sequel yet.
In general, you can speculate in the comments: in which project would you like to see the work again? Joe Taslima и Timo Tiajanto?
Quite suddenly, news came about the legendary action hero Chuck Norris, who celebrated his 83rd birthday this year.
Chan has not acted in films for a long time, but it seems he is ready to make an exception for a parody comedy from Australia called "Zombie Plane" (Zombie Plane). Film directed by tandem Bodnaruk lava и Michael Pierre is going to make fun of both zombie movies and action films about lonely heroes in troubled planes.
The comedy will tell the story of a secret government organization that recruits celebrities as undercover agents who must work together to save humanity from an imminent zombie attack.
Chuck Norris (“Way of the Dragon”) actress Sophie Monk (“Click: With the remote control through life”) and 90s rap star Vanilla Ice. The actors will play themselves (or rather, Norris plays Commander Chuck Norris, who mentored and trained Ice to become a deadly secret agent).
Film company Studio Dome is going to actively advertise the project at the nearest film market, but it is unknown when (if) filming will begin.
