The country's film industry, which gave us the duology "Raid", brutal thriller "Night is coming for us", hand-to-hand comedy "Hit and Run", as well as several more interesting films for fans of combat cinema (which, however, do not always reach us), presented a new project - a superhero comedy Ashiap Man.

A film whose title can be translated as "A man ready for anything" (the word ashiap is the slang of modern Indonesian youth) was filmed by the director Erdanius Larobu (“The Amazing Udin”) and actor Atta Halilintar ("Visiting Barcelona", "Rebels"), for which Ashiap Man is his directorial debut.

The film is about a young boy named Zula, who lives in the village. For all residents, he is a Good Samaritan who strives to provide support to everyone, no matter whether it is to help an old lady carry a basket home, or to stop any crime with the help of his fists. But young Zula will have to become a real superhero when the need arises to confront villains with paranormal abilities.

Company Atte Halilintaru actors are: Samuel Rizal ("Target"), Aurel Hermansyah ("Ricky Reno") Arsvendi Nasution (“Gundala”), as well as a silat master and actor Yayan Ruhian (The Raid duology, John Wick 3).

The exact release date of the action comedy is still unknown, but the film is promised to be released in Indonesia before the end of 2020.

We want to finish today’s selection of trailers with a project from the Land of the Rising Sun, from where, by the way, we are really looking forward to the long-announced hand-to-hand action movie "Hydra".

We're talking about a thriller called "Objection" (Traverse) director Yuki Okada, whose creative background we were never able to figure out.

The film, which the creators describe as a Japanese version "Hostages" (2007), tells the story of a drunken karate teacher, Jun, whose life went downhill after his wife committed suicide. Despite this, Jun loves his adopted daughter Rin and tries to spend more time with her. But after his daughter is kidnapped by a brutal Yakuza gang, the main character will have to remember his craft to save Rin.

The main role in the thriller was played by a real karate grandmaster June Tamegai, for whom this project became the debut. The rest of the ensemble cast consists of mostly unknown actors: Kanji Tsuda, Yuki Masuda, Jin Kusanagi and others, but the role of the main villain went to a seasoned actor Shinji Kasahara (“Gopnik-transformer”, “Why don’t you play with me in Hell?”, dilogy “Samurai and the Cat”).

It is not yet known when "Objection" will be available to the masses. The film will premiere at a film festival Japan Filmfest Hamburg, which will take place online from August 19 to September 2, 2020. And we can only wait and evaluate the trailer.

Jamvala would not forget to watch. And they also reminded me about “Hit and Run.”
