In these not very bright days, because of you know what, films that are made specifically for online releases are gaining momentum. South Korean internet cinema is not far behind Chinese internet cinema. From time to time, our selections include films for online rental that directly relate to the theme of the FFI website.
Another such hand-to-hand action movie is called "Fist of Joseon" (Joseon Fist) by debutant director Yoon Won-dae.

The next film in the selection is an action-comedy about underground fighting in Seoul. The movie is called "Dumb Duo" (Dumbheaded Duo) and is the directorial debut Park Joon-sik.
The plot will unfold around a young guy, Rong-man, who after college cannot find a place for himself in life. One day he comes to the realization that a person is just a punching bag with sand inside, and all that needs to be done in life is to knock out that same sand. This is how street fighters nicknamed Hwi and Mingyu appear. The latter is a friend of Rong-man, with whom they casually box on the streets of Seoul, collecting the notorious “likes” on the Internet. But everything changes when a girl appears in the lives of friends who is involved in real underground fights for money.
Starring: Cha Ji-hyuk ("Gang"), Jin Ho-eun (TV series "The Secret of the Secret") and debutant Yang Chung-ming.

Let's finish the selection with an action movie from South Korea called "Bodyguard" (Bodyguard) director Seung-hyun's dream, famous for the action movie "Pluto" (2011)
In Seung-hyun's new film, the main character is an unscrupulous debt collector who witnesses a woman being beaten by several thugs. Finding the remnants of humanity in himself, the hero stands up for the victim. It turns out that the girl worked in a transport company and witnessed a dirty deal with local bandits, and now they want to “shut her up.”
