Another documentary film that interests us is called "Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks" (Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks) directed by Serge Ou.

The film examines the influence of kung fu films on popular culture. Screenwriters will trace the path of hand-to-hand cinema from the old wuxia films of the Hong Kong studio Shaw Brothers 60s to modern action films, including "The Matrix" 1999 directed by the Wachowskis, who with the help of this film returned kung fu to big cinema.

The experts in the film were famous actors of action cinema and film industry figures: the legendary Chinese actress Zheng Peipei (“Come Have a Drink with Me”), stars of hand-to-hand action films of the 80s and 90s Cynthia Rothrock ("Honor and Fury") and Richard Norton ("City Hungter"), young Hollywood actress Jessica Henwick (TV series "Game of Thrones", "Iron Fist"), rapper and director RZA (dulogy “The Man with the Iron Fists”), journalist and filmmaker Mike Leader (“Pound of Flesh”), as well as the author of various books on martial arts Matthew Polley.

The documentary has already been shown at the 67th Melbourne International Film Festival and is being released on DVD. The release should take place before the end of 2019.
