Thai news reported that Tony Jaa gave an interview to the New York Associated Press and admitted that he was very pleased with the interest of Americans in his film “Ong-Bak 2”. Hollywood is a huge film factory that he wants to get into.

“Ong-Bak 2: The Beginning” was released in the United States on October 23rd and earned $26 in its first weekend, despite a limited release in only ten theaters.

It was later reported that the total amount of money at the box office in the United States of America that Tony Jaa's films collected raised him to the same level as the box office records of Jackie Chan and Jet Li (4,6 million for “Ong-Bak” and 12 million for “Defender”).
