"China Film Group Corporation" and foundation National Film Capital announced at the Shanghai International Film Festival that producer Alan Hatcher intends to make a film based on the script Bruce Lee (The Silent Flute / The Silent Flute).
The project, with a $25 million budget and a post-apocalyptic theme, is described as a fantasy action film, with martial arts making up a significant part of it. The main character goes on a heroic journey to a city that could survive the apocalypse. Hatcher received full support from relatives Bruce Lee.
About exact plans Hatcher is still unknown, but the fact that a family is involved in the project Lee, may well be a guarantee that this version will be as close as possible to the original script Bruce, unlike the 1978 film “Circle of Iron” (Circle Of Iron) with David Carradine.
Producers plan to begin production in 2013.
