The plot of the movie Heat with Jason Statham

The main character of this fast-paced and intriguing action/thriller is a tough guy who is trying to quit gambling. He earns his living by working as a bodyguard and protecting important people in the gambling business. Statham’s character, on principle, does not get involved in firefights, preferring to use melee weapons and hand-to-hand combat. When his girlfriend is brutally beaten by one of the rich gangsters, he helps her take revenge, not even imagining what serious problems this will lead to.

Scripted action movie William Goldman filmed by the director Simon West (Con Air, The Expendables 2, The Mechanic). Earlier in a press release it was reported that he would be responsible for the choreography of fights in the remake of the 1986 film Corey Yuen Kwai, however, this information has not yet been confirmed.

Preliminary release date of the film "heat" – August 7, 2014.

“Tolsto” is if I asked if the film(s) would be shown on the “Culture” channel. %)

Well, no, with our Culture... everything is possible. The Russian Olympic team comes out at the opening in sweatshirts to the song of the Tatu group))

Budget from 3 kopecks. up to 4 kopecks won't rise?

What about the camera?.. Spielberg wouldn’t care about it...

    Why are you so fat?))

Quite subtle in my opinion. Moreover, Shadrin still didn’t understand anything, he kept crawling into the sky...

    Dressed Boyka))) Excellent.

    - Scott, tell us who you play?
    - Well.. my role.. is such a dressed Boyka..))

    or:
    - Scott, has your role undergone any changes? Has the character evolved?
    - Yes, of course, he is dressed now.

And in the credits: Scott Adkins as Dressed Boyka.

Hahahahaha! Ravenside, I laughed for half an hour after this comment. Thanks for the laughs. )))

    - Exactly.

With a camera? But we didn’t care at that time. As is the case now, in fact. Whatever came to hand was removed. It’s good that it’s Sony and not Samsung - and that’s good. We survived as best we could. Whatever... With good equipment, anyone can shoot... Although...
Sometimes I look at the newly minted craftsmen running around with the cool Canon and I want to cry. People have everything - capabilities, technology, efforts. And when all this falls on the editing table, I just want to cry.
But there is so much conceit. Of course, they filmed on Mark3. It’s impossible without showing off.

One of my good stuntmen (by the way, the leading actor in KHLYUPIK) was filmed by local filmmakers, to whom God gave the technical capabilities, but apparently limited the brain.
Personally, I can’t watch this kind of work without tears.

Someone will say that I “climbed into heaven” again?

Early. Be patient until the release of “The Stranger,” “The Fallout,” and “Squishy.”

    - SLUPIK will come running in the next few days. I get wise to color correction and test it using different techniques. It's a pity, of course, that we filmed it on a camera from the era of dinosaurs.
    But what can you do.
As soon as it appears on the Internet, we’ll all go on a binge. Collectively long lasting!

    simply dressed Boyka.

You'll definitely get it for wearing Boyka =D

I also think that Adkins does not have enough charisma than Statham. Especially when he plays characters like in Ninja, Legends, etc. I think he is more suited to villainous and anti-heroic roles, like Boyka and Hector. Essentially, Hector from The Expendables 2 was just Boyka dressed up.

Now Celpaso will appear around the corner with a deadly greeting from Scott Adkins. Ha Ha!

I propose to rename the group “Shadrin’s Info”...

Most likely, even Statham himself wonders why anyone is still watching his films.

The sequel to "Mechanics" is also just around the corner. Nu Image has already started selling rights at the EFM Film Market.

I like the way Rock builds his career. Who has not sunk to the level of his friends in the industry - Austin and Sena only because of the good selection of roles and the film (although in my opinion it should be added that as an actor he will be better than them).

Celpaso, I agree. A very successful example with Rock. And he tries to keep the bar, and as an actor he has really grown a lot.

Let me add. Jason has charisma. He can act in both drama and comedy. That's a plus. It's a pity that the latest films are all practically the same.
Well, you can't compare them to Scott. Scott is a fighter with acting ability, and Statham is more of an actor with fighting ability. These are different things.

Jaidev, yes, that’s right, in general, this is what I meant when I talked about charisma. Jason, of course, is primarily an actor, not a fighter, and therefore more versatile, regardless of his brutal appearance. It’s just that Statham’s capabilities as an action character turned out to be higher than that of any average dramatic actor: appearance, energy, aesthetics, physical fitness. So they started using it endlessly. As well as Adkins, who can also safely refuse every second project. But alas, everyone needs to pay rent.

Only Statham, IMHO, is much more talented as an actor and much more charismatic. And his niche was formed only as a result of the wrong strategy of him and his agent, and not due to a lack of talent. In his case, it was necessary to follow the principle: less often is better than taking with Stakhanov’s pressure. The conveyor has never done anything good before. Let's say Seagal and Stallone have been following the same path for the last few years. And it’s not just that they have aged and become familiar. They always had a problem with taste and choice, a complete lack of self-irony, and plus an overwhelming conceit.
Statham had every chance to get out of this impasse. But he continues to bomb. Don’t forget: an actor is a dependent profession, a prostitute. You cannot always and not 100% control the situation.

As it is, Statham is just as niche an actor as Adkins.

His action films are in demand.

They are not in demand (read “not successful”), he just immediately hit the big screens and appeared in good films, more people recognized him immediately by sight, therefore he (for now) has the opportunity to stay afloat thanks to invitations to The Expendables and Fast and the Furious, despite the failures of their solo albums.

“Big Snatch” is the best, but this is in no way Statham’s merit. More precisely, Statham is very much in place there, but this is the merit of the screenwriter, director and the one who did the casting. As it is, Statham is just as niche an actor as Adkins. Only he had better luck with the niche. His action films are in demand.

    Author's gravatar

If we talk about his films in general... Big Snatch is THE BEST!!!

I like "Revolver". This is the first Statham movie I've seen.

    Author's gravatar

Another Statham action movie? Honestly, I like films with this actor. Simple, uncomplicated, predictable, tough action films. This actor has his own circle of viewers. And I'm one of them.

    Author's gravatar

The only surprise is the casting with the presence of not the latest actors in Hollywood.

New Image forked out money so that the next action movie with Jason would at least attract someone to the cinema... judging by the box office, it didn’t work out.

Of Jason's latest works, I liked Parker and Kolibri for the scene where he plays a gay man. =) And of his action films... nothing can reach the level of the first Carrier. And if we talk about his films in general... Big Snatch - THE BEST!!!

Guys, what kind of remake of the 1986 film was it?

This is a remake. With Burt - the original.

“The main character is former military man Nick Escalante.”

Hehe)) It couldn’t be any other way.
Yesterday I watched the last film with Statham, which is “The Last Frontier”. He's terrible. It’s immediately obvious that Stallone wrote for himself. But it's not just the scary plot. Overall the film is boring, cheap and very poorly made. The only surprise is the casting with the presence of not the latest actors in Hollywood. What did they forget there?

    Author's gravatar

The intrigue is that there will be no special forces.

Kinopoisk says that there WILL BE - "The main character is former military man Nick Escalante" =D

Guys, what kind of remake of the 1986 film was it? Was it called “Heat” too? Who was in the cast?

    Burt Reynolds http://www.kinopoisk.ru/film/25235/
