Poster art and plot of the film “Flying Guillotines”

[UPDATED]

Probably the very first special forces team in history, the Emperor's secret assassin group consisted of young street thugs who, as children, killed for food and survival. Trained to use the Flying Guillotine, the deadliest weapon ever invented, they competed with each other to be the best killer. Ruthless and arrogant, they lived one day at a time, until one day it turned out that they were killing the wrong people, working for the “alien” side. Ambushed by another group of assassins and transformed from hunter to hunted, they must either accept inevitable destruction or kill again to survive.

Currently a Teddy Chan film “Flying Guillotines” (Flying Guillotines) is in pre-production.

"We Pictures" postponed filming “Guillotines” / "The Guillotines" (formerly “The Flying Guillotines”), which were scheduled for this month.

“Filming was delayed due to problems with the script and we are not going to do anything until the script is ready,” - stated the representatives "We Pictures".

There are also rumors that the director Teddy Chan replaced Andrew LauBut "We Pictures" refused to comment anything.

The studio explained the name change as follows: “This is not a remake [of the 1975 classic], so we gave it a new title to avoid confusion.”

I once watched a program where they reconstructed this killer hat, since it actually passes for the most part as a myth. They made it and tested it... the conclusion was that yes, with the help of it you can blow your head off, but you need to train for this task for 20 years, and the procedure is so delicate and tedious that it is a hundred times easier and more profitable to simply sneak up on the victim and behead him her old grandfather's way - with a knife-sword.

But of course it’s an interesting topic for a film)

A little bit here and there in the description the plot reminded me of 14 blades.
