Company "New Line Cinema" hired a short film creator to film a new adaptation of a popular video game “Mortal Kombat: Rebirth” (Mortal Kombat: Rebirth) and web series director “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” (Mortal Kombat: Rebirth) Kevin Tancharoen.
“The web series was so successful that we began serious negotiations with New Line Cinema regarding the creation of a full-length film,” - I said, Kevin Tancharoen.
They really liked the style and manner of storytelling, and the number of views proves this, so they gave the go-ahead.
New script "Mortal Kombat" will write Oren Uziel, and the plot, according to Tancharoena, will be quite familiar to people who have followed the series, but at the same time, it will be a separate film.
I wanted to make sure that you didn't have to watch every episode of the series or play the video game to understand the movie.
I've always been a fan of the Batman style of tradition, where you're able to expand the universe in other directions.
The Mortal Kombat universe is so vast that different types of storytelling can be applied to it.
It is not yet known whether the actors who played the characters in the short film and the series will return to the full-length film, since the details of the project have not yet been disclosed.
