About the start of development of a new video game with Tony Jaa and I reported at the beginning of this year that it is based on an as yet unannounced film project, and just yesterday fresh information surfaced.
It has been confirmed that the game with the [working] title "Ong Bak Tri" will be a three-dimensional action in a two-dimensional plane (the so-called “2.5D”) with a side view and scrolling. Players can expect intense fights, freerunning and a series of "QTE" (Quick Time Event) scenes with action elements. Without elephants There were also meditations.
Game developers from "Studio HIVE" emphasize in advance that it will remain true to the roots of the famous franchise:
One of the most important goals of the game was to preserve the authentic atmosphere of the Ong-Bak films. Tony Jaa lent his likeness to the game's character, and development itself took place in close contact with the people behind the films, in particular special effects supervisor Tossaporn Punnart, as well as co-creator and veteran choreographer Panna Rittikrai.

The video game is due to be released this winter. At the moment, a release on PC has been confirmed, versions for consoles and smartphones are in development, but so far there has been no confirmation of the game's release on "Xbox 360" not reported.
