On September 3rd, another press conference was held, the main topic of which was possible filming Tony Jaaa in a Hollywood blockbuster Fast & Furious 7. Over the past week, the actor has not personally met with the head of the film company. Sahamongkol Film International, and this time Somsaka Techaratanapraserta accompanied at the meeting with journalists Prachya Pinkayu и Panna Rittikrai.
As it turned out, in the contract with Tony Jaaa, among other things, his participation in foreign projects is also stipulated.
Somsak Techaratanaprasert: If he wants to star in Fast and Furious 7, the film's producers must first get approval from Sahamongkol Film International.
It turns out that after the previous press conference Tony Jaaa sent an official notice stating that he no longer belonged to "Sahamongkol" and reserves the right to work on any film project he chooses. Jaa also demanded that "Sahamongkol" I did not use his screen image in advertising without his permission "Tom Yum Goong 2".
Somsak Techaratanaprasert: He said that his decision to go to Hollywood does not concern me. But I have brought you all together to explain why I have changed my position in this situation.
Techaratanaprasert, after such a not very pleasant surprise from the leading actor, was clearly hurt. He, in turn, sent notices to other studios that until he gives the go-ahead, they have no right to use the services Jaa.
Somsak Techaratanaprasert: If Tony Jaaa does not get my consent and, despite everything, appears in a foreign film, then he will undoubtedly have to face legal action.
Panna Rittikrai, teacher Jaa, noted that the contract with Tony was extended in mid-July. He came with his wife and child and asked if he could take part in working on some advertising project. Rittikrai during all this fuss I tried to call him, but Jaa didn't answer calls.
Not a word was said about the film at the press conference. "A Man Will Rise", still in production. Company "Sahamongkol" invested about 150 million Thai baht in the film, but, apparently, Jaa moved away from the project, and there was no work on it for the last two months. Director assistant Vitidnan Rodjanapanich ready to finish filming the film, but lack of Tony Jaaa greatly complicated the situation.
