Is Ong Bak 4 coming?

One of the Thai websites reported that the action film will be filmed by the end of the year. “Tom-Yum-Goong 2” should resume.

Meanwhile Tony Jaa is engaged in other work - he continues to help flood victims who have found temporary shelter in Nakhon Pathom province.

In addition to the details that I reported in previous news, several more appeared:

Firstly, judging by the Thai text, it is possible that in preparation for filming Tony Jaa will undergo military training.

And secondly, Jaa said he was preparing a project called “Ong-Bak 4” (องค์บาก 4 / Ong Bak 4), but first you need to wait and see if the company management gives the go-ahead.

"If Crump reveals his philosophy in TYUG 2,"

I don’t know who Crump is, BUT the further films with Jha are from philosophy, the better for the viewer. =)

May be. If Crump reveals his philosophy in TYUG 2, then why Formless. If not, then maybe they will take it off. Or maybe not. Let's see.

What about Formless? Smoothly developed into TYUG 2?.. Crump is silent, Vega too.

Well, at least they made 1 film every 2 years. TYUG 2 and 3 will definitely be filmed (since they should definitely bring money), Ong Bak 4,5,6 is all too much, even the 4th one doesn’t need to be filmed. We need new films. You can go to Hollywood to see one film to raise money, and then continue to make your own films without any restrictions. But to be honest, I don’t want to wait until they film it in Hollywood, until they film the next one in Thailand.
Maybe they'll film Naksu/Warrior after all. I would love to see: Jaa and Jatarski.

Yes, you're right, there was no talk about him acting, only that he developed/is developing the project.

45 years, 2,5 years on average for each film, we get only 4 (!!!) films in which Jaa will star and so that they are on the same level.

You shouldn’t fall into Chinese consumer goods either, IMHO, you need to find a middle ground.

And TYUG3 will most likely be there.
By the way, it may not be a fact that Tony will star in OB4, maybe he will be the director, IMHO.
In general, I am against Tony Jaa starring in Ong Bak 4 and here’s why: we take age - 45 years, on average 2,5 years for each film, we get only 4 (!!!) films in which Jaa will star and so that they were on the level. So it turns out that:
Ong Bak 4, most likely Ong Bak 5 and 6 and TYUG3 and that’s it. It will continue to decline. It turns out that Jaa’s entire career is an Ong Bak series and a TYUG series :( I don’t think that will be the case, but...we’ll see.

    What about elephants? ;)

The main thing is to remove Thai humor, gays, anime personalities and people speaking through their throats. Then everything will be in chocolate.

I'm also against Hollywood, at least until I watch TYUG 2.

I don’t know, I don’t know, Hollywood won’t appreciate his fighting game, they only see the money. and how to earn more of it, they will turn it into a pop beef IMHO.

Yes, let him go to Hollywood...at least experiment with one film...SOOOOOOOOO INTERESTING TO WATCH THIS.
At least a normal guy can cut down a bean.

Somehow, I doubt that if Tony starts working in Hollywood, he will give 100% as in Thailand, and the fighting game will no longer be the same. He may cut the dough, but we are unlikely to see a spectacle such as, for example, in Tomyangung. IMHO

If this awakens a modern version like Ongbak 1 with director Pracha Pinkayu, then I’m all for it. But I wouldn’t recommend making a film in the ancient style like ongbak 3 because the disastrous 3rd part was enough for me, and I was looking forward to the film, even if the director and Tony weren’t very good. And I don’t see any point in doing a new ongbak when Tony’s contract expires in 2012, if I’m not mistaken. It would be better if he thought about working together with Sammo or En. And even if they remove the tank, then I give my vote for the second point in the hope of a continuation of the first part and not the third.

Let him not waste time and rack his brains. It’s better to let him go deep into Tom Yum Gung 2. I’m really looking forward to it. And leave the village rope-flying superheroes for later.

great!, but we'll have to wait too long...

Handsome. I really hope he learned from his mistakes from the last Ong Bak. And we are waiting again...
