Last week, a Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh banned from entering Myanmar.
Government officials said she arrived in Yangon on June 22 and was deported the same day because her name was listed as persona non grata.
Although officials did not explain the reason for the hit Yeo blacklisted, it is likely that this ban is related to her role in the film "Lady" (The Lady), in which she plays a fighter for democracy, an oppositionist named Aung San Suu Kyi.
Yeo came to Myanmar to Suu Kyi last December, before details of the film even surfaced.
