Past 5 December is considered an unofficial holiday for fans of ninjutsu and mysterious Japanese warriors - ninjas. We can't help but celebrate this date by giving you a couple of short films. What if someone hasn’t nominated a candidate in this nomination yet? as part of summing up the results of action cinema 2016which is in full swing.
The first short meets two of our needs today: it has ninjas and it fights. The film is called "The Hungt for Hiroshi" (Hungt for Hiroshi) by Australian director Sam Gosper.
Synopsis: Hiroshi is a former ninja from an ancient clan of assassins, and now a big boss in the criminal world. However, the clan does not forgive those who decide to leave, and Hiroshi is constantly being hunted. Now Hiroshi is the target of his former brother-in-arms Hisashi, who has made enough progress in searching for the renegade. However, Dale, a ruthless fighter from Hiroshi’s squad, stands in Hisashi’s way.
Starring in the film: Taki Abe ("Hacksaw Ridge") Lauren Bateau (TV series “Killer Women”), Tyler DeNavi (TV series “Customer”) and David Vaughn, who played the title role of Hisashi.
Before you go looking for Hiroshi with this short film, it remains to add that the guys are planning several thematic short films that should be combined into the so-called "Circle of Ninjas" (Circle Of Ninja). Gosper's film was warmly received by critics and fans of hand-to-hand combat in cinema, "The Hungt for Hiroshi" even received several awards, as well as a budget for the next film, which we will be waiting for in 2017.
The next short film has nothing to do with the ninja theme, but again exploits the theme of underground fighting, so beloved by many creators of combat films. The film is called The Underground. This short film has arrived to us from Foggy Albion from an independent creative association Flawless Films.
Synopsis: Men should always bet on some form of competition. Today, this tradition has become a brutal, high-stakes sport. A small group of men and women gather in a secret location underground to pit their fighters against each other, making or losing money. And this underground ring became notorious throughout the city...
The short film featured: Jake Rogers, Tom Easton, James Sarsonand Ryan Phillips ("Texasville") and Aaron "GNT" Gassor (“Liquidators”).
The film is directed by Jake Rogers and James Heyman, who direct almost all of Flawless Films' videos.

By the way, a little off topic, I watched “Morgan”, and without exaggeration, it had the coolest and coolest hand-to-hand fights between women that I have ever seen, although I am not a fan of women’s fights, it was filmed perfectly.
Dave, "Morgan" - which film of this year is about some kind of zombie virus or something like that?
I liked the women’s fight most in the sixth, it seems, “Fast and the Furious,” where Gina Carano fought against Michelle Rodriguez in the subway. And it looks quite realistic, and technically at the same time, and quite powerful, and not feminine.
Well, or “Skiptrace” by Jackie Chan, there’s also a great female fight there. According to all traditions - busty, in leather and latex :)
“Morgan” is an action movie from 2016 with Kate Mara, and what you listed is at least interesting.
Dave,
More of a fantasy thriller.
It could be so, a fantastic action thriller about an experiment that went out of control, which began to kill everyone in the best traditions of action heroes of the 90s in the style of one against all.
I haven’t seen such cool hand-to-hand combat for a long time; tricking spoils the overall impression a little, but not much.
Dave,
Are you talking about "Hiroshi" or "Underground"?
I haven’t watched “Hiroshi” or “Underground” yet.
Well, in part the second video still has something to do with ninjas. :) Aaron "GNT" Gassor is the "red-haired ninja", if I'm not mistaken. :)
He,
That's right, yes. I hoped someone would notice the humorous joke :)
