Dear fans of combat films, the FFI editors continue to select short films and simple sketches with hand-to-hand fights for you, because independent creativity is also creativity.
Beware
In a four-minute short film Beware stuntman, actor and director Felix Bettencourt, who played one of the roles in the superhero series from Netflix and Marvel "Luke Cage" (2016-2018) confronts the killers who came after his soul.
The sketch was staged by Betancourt himself rather to show what Felix himself and his team are capable of. For the sake of honor, it is worth saying that there is definitely something to show them.
One PM
The following sketch is comedic and is an open reference to the mega-popular Japanese anime series One Punch-man, the second season of which just recently aired.
The film was shot by a stuntman and director Kevin Wu, and the main role was played by a stuntman Kiro Waveborn, who managed to work in such TV series as "Elementary" и "Luke Cage", and also in the third "John Wick".
The main character of the film, Saitama, goes towards his goal, despite all those who want to stop him.
Tsinelas
Another comedy sketch from a creative association led by a director and editor Josh Aries. The short film is called Tsinelas is the Tagalog word for "slippers."
The film is about a “housewife” who was angered by her son’s guests.
The sketch is very reminiscent of old kung fu films, where everything is built on interaction with kitchen utensils. Starring in the film: Derick Vizcarra, Raquel Cerezo and others.
MartialClub
Talented guys from the stunt team MartialClub It’s been a long time since they delighted us with the full-length short films for which they became famous. Today on the MC channel you can only find comedy sketches with a minimum of plot. Some of them are worth watching because the guys are still good at what they do with classic Hong Kong choreography.
As usual, the same people take part in the sketches: Andy Le, Brian Le, Daniel Ma, Ryan Tran, Julio Amavizza, Andrew Lim, David Dun и Jackie Tran.
Pinoia Films
On the YouTube channel of a creative association of freerunners and stuntmen Pinoia Films three episodes appeared Versus - a project in which the creators pit representatives of different schools of hand-to-hand combat in a fight.
