As the Tracking Board, "Five Against a Bullet" (this is how the title of the film can be loosely translated) - a long-term construction project that I was supposed to join Bruce Willis, like a veteran of action films. However, something didn’t work out for Die Hard and in his place they took not just anyone, but Jackie Chan himself.

Interestingly, the project is still in limbo as the production process has not yet begun. Currently director of upcoming film Joe Carnahan (“The A-Team”, TV series “The Blacklist”) is busy rewriting the script for the film he didn’t like. Alexa Litvaka ("Three Musketeers").

Five Against a Bullet, as a project, was conceived back in 2010 by Columbia Pictures и Di Bonaventura Pictures. Bruce Willis was immediately cast in the lead role. However, the future film soon lost its main star and production studio. Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura did not abandon the project, and found partners: Mimran Schur, Red Dragon and Suretone Pictures. After this, the matter moved from a dead point.

It is still unknown what will happen in the end, since practically nothing is known about the project, but the participation of Grandfather Chan gives us some hope for something at least interesting.

The third film in the franchise is already in full preparation, which will also be based on the classic Chinese work “Journey to the West”, namely on the chapter where the heroes find themselves in the kingdom of women. Actually, that's what the movie is called: "The Monkey King: Kingdom of Women".

Still standing at the director's helm Chin Pou-soi, who directed the previous two films in the franchise, which collectively grossed 1 billion yuan (US$150 million).

Aaron Kwok took over the role of Sun Wukong from the second film (he played the Monkey King in the first film in 2014). Donnie Yen), who also played the role of the Demon King in the first film.

In the third film the actors will return to their roles: William Fan ("Old Bodyguard") Xiao Shenyang ("Chinatown Detective") and Lo Chun-Khim ("Young and Dangerous: Reboot").

"The Monkey King: Kingdom of Women" has a budget of 500 million yuan (US$72,5 million), almost a thousand crew members and one and a half thousand full-time staff working in post-production. Filming was carried out on location in the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Taiwan. Two huge pavilions were built for filming.

The third film, judging by the title and plot, should be the most “female” of the entire franchise, however, the female casting of the future fantasy hit is still being kept secret.

The third film, The Monkey King, is scheduled for release in 2018. However, there is already a colorful poster. Well, in 2017 we are expecting an action movie from Aaron Kwok "Hard day", filming of which recently completed.
