It is not surprising that the master of Chinese cinema himself undertook to produce this film, because he and Liu are old friends and played together in the action film "Police Story 2013" (2013) directed by Ding Shen. In addition to Chan, he took on producing duties Liu Zhangming, who was engaged in action "War of the Wolves 2" (2017) starring Jackie Wu.

The plot of the film, which is defined by its genre as a hand-to-hand dramatic action movie, will unfold around a mercenary in the service of the state, who is forced to defend the interests of his homeland abroad.

Filming is scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan, France and Israel.

Chan himself will not play in the film. And the main role will go to you Liu Ye. Nothing more is known about the project yet, but we will keep our finger on the pulse.

More and more details are emerging about the project Jiu Jitsu с Alain Moussi starring. At first появились rumors that a Thai action film actor has joined the project Tony JAA. Not so long ago стало известноthat the second leading role in the film will go to a Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage. But the cast details didn’t end there.

Firstly, it has now been officially confirmed that one of the roles in this fantastic hand-to-hand action movie about an alien invasion of our world will be played by Tony JAA. Secondly, the acting ensemble was replenished with familiar names: Hollywood actor Frank Grillo (“War of the Wolves 2”), action film actress ZhuZhu Chan ("Fists of the Dragon"), former UFC fighter Randy Couture (The Expendables franchise), as well as actors Rick Yune ("Ninja Assassin") and Marie Avgeropoulos ("Tracers").

The director is in charge of the project Dimitri Logothetis (“Kickboxer Returns”) and screenwriter Jim McGrath (“My Life in Pink”), which is based on a 2017 comic book Acme Rocket Fuel. Filming is about to start 24 June 2019 year. So far the project seems extremely strange. What do you think?

Director and screenwriter Jimmy Henderson worked again with a stuntman, action film actor and action director Jean-Paul Lee. Previously, the tandem delighted fans of action cinema with films such as "Jail break" (2017) and "Prey" (2019)

We're talking about Hendrix's new film called "Guardian" (The Guardian), where Lee was once again given the duties of fight choreographer, as was the case with "Prey". The action film has already been filmed (filming took place entirely in Cambodia) and is in the post-production stage. Interestingly, this time Henderson has secured the support of Chinese production centers.

"Guardian" will tell the story of Gao Ran, an outsider boxer whose wife recently died. Ran does not find a better solution than to get involved in fights for money in order to provide his daughter Coco with a carefree childhood. Gao Ran's father-in-law does not like this state of affairs and wants to gain custody of the girl. But everything changes dramatically when Coco is kidnapped by human traffickers and Gao is now on the warpath.

Former boxing champion and now actor Gu Shanwei ("Prey", "I'm Not Bruce Lee") will play the main role, and he will be accompanied by notable Chinese actors: Andy He ("Abduction", "Mr. Magnificent"), Eric Tsang (series "My Lucky Stars"), Wise Lee (“Bright Future”), as well as Charlie Rydpokanon (TV series "Marco Polo") and himself Jean-Paul Ly ("Night Shooting").

The film is scheduled for release in the second half of 2020. All we have to do is wait for the action movie trailer.

There is no confidence in the project. And in my opinion, it is not very correct to single out Grillo as a “Hollywood actor”; it is better to remove the “Hollywood”. Otherwise, one gets the impression that Grillo is a first-tier star. I respect him very much, but it’s somehow too early to throw out advances like that. When Level boss shoots, then we can say that yes, Hollywood, first echelon and all that. In the meantime, he agrees to star in unassuming B-movies, he is an American actor, just an actor, an amateur boxer, etc.
