New projects by ZHKVD, Tony Jaa, Marco Zarora, Jean-Paul Lye and Vincent Zhao

Long ago Jean-Claude Van Damme and his production company Rodin Entertainment Ltd. published a list of films that are planned to be shot in the near future. In addition to sequels of cult films "AWOL" и "In search of adventures" with JCVD, as well as endless long-term construction "Tower" (The Tower) and "Full Love", there were enough projects on the list. And it seems that some of them have finally begun to be implemented.

At the Cannes Film Festival in May, Van Damme presented a promotional poster for the action-comedy Double X2 Action (perhaps this is an homage to "Double Impact"...?) and a promotional video for a western "Three Coyotes" (Three Coyotes). In the latter, the main roles were played by the children of the ZhKVD - Christopher Van Varenberg ("Finish them all") and Bianca Bree ("The Fury of the Fist and the Golden Fleece").

At the same film festival, Jean-Claude said that a project called "Falcon Man" (Falconman). The action hero did not go into plot details, but said that this film will be about a new superhero who challenges an artificial intelligence that has gone crazy.

However, all these projects are still, as they say, “on paper.” 58-year-old Jean-Claude had many of these before. As for those films that you should almost certainly expect, the drama "We Die Young", most likely, will not be released until next year, and the 2010 film "Full Love" (former "Eagle Way") is planned for release in 2018. However, there is still no information about the release date. But we, like your Hachiko, are waiting...

Overclocked in earnest Tony JAA (Ong Bak trilogy) is picking up projects one after another. While we wait for a stalled action movie somewhere "Triple Threat" and we are already looking forward to a Hollywood mystical action movie "Monster Hungter", a Thai film fighter has signed up to participate in a hand-to-hand action movie under a simple title "Jujutsu" (Jiu-Jitsu).

This time Jha does not have a central, but a supporting role in the director's film Demetrius Logothetis ("The Kickboxer Returns"). The main role went to the rising star of hand-to-hand action films Alain Moussi (dilogy “Kickboxer”, “Only Me”, “Order: Kill”).

Remember a couple of years ago we wrote about the director's new project Daniela Zirilli, where one of the roles was to be played by the “Latin dragon” Marko Zaror? So: it seems that this film has finally begun to be filmed.

Director's project Daniela Zirilli (“Asian Connection”, “Time Doesn’t Wait”) was named "Invincible" (Invincible). Although it seems to us that this project is a hundred years old at lunchtime and earlier the main role was assigned Dolph Lundgren.

According to the information from the site FCS, the synopsis is slightly different from what was provided previously. Now we will talk about Cam Devore, the head of the security service, who works in a secret private laboratory where experiments with nanotechnology are carried out. A billionaire scientist dreams of creating super soldiers, but it looks like the film's antagonist will stand in his way.

Will play the main role Johnny Strong ("Fast and Furious", "End of Day"), and Marko Zaroru (“Undisputed 3”) got the role of Brock Cortez, a former Navy SEAL who voluntarily signed up for the experiment. In the rest of the cast: Peter Stormare ("Bad Boys 2", "John Wick 2"), Vladimir Kulikh (TV series "Vikings"), Michael Pare (“The Philadelphia Experiment”) and others.

Invincible is currently in the filming stage, and if all goes well, the film will be released in 2019.

Rising star of British action cinema Jean-Paul Ly (“Prison Break”, “Night Shots”) has acquired another project. And it was the sequel to the recent independent action film "I am retribution" starring Stu Bennett.

The film was again directed by Ross Boyask. He also wrote the script in which the hero of the first film, former special forces soldier John Gold, pursues a certain Teague, who in the past set up Gold's team on a mission in Eastern Europe. Gold is forced to confront not only Tig's henchmen, but also a mysterious sniper who has his own score to settle with Tig.

The main antagonist is still played by a former wrestler Stu Bennett (“Liquidators”), and the role of the main villain went to Vinnie Jones ("Big Snatch"). Besides these two and Jean-Paul Lee, the action film was attended by: Katrina Durden ("Doctor Strange") Lee Charles ("Accident"), Josh Myers (“Hooligans 3”) and other actors.

I Am Vengeance 2 began filming on September 25 in Suffolk, UK. The release of the action film should take place in 2019.

And there were also details about another project between Jean-Paul and the director Barta Ruspoli - hand-to-hand action "14 fists", which we wrote about not long ago. And to be more precise, about his acting ensemble, which included the famous actor John Hanna (The Mummy franchise, Dirk Gently's Detective Agency series) and Chinese-French actress Bai Ling ("Taxi 3", "Maximum Impact").

Chinese martial artist and actor Vincent Zhao ("True Legend", "Udaan") was pleased with the way his film this year worked "Unity of Heroes" and have already signed up for the second part.

God knows how many times Zhao will portray the Chinese national hero Wong Fei Hong in a film. The Unity of Heroes 2 director of the first film Linya Zhenzhao.
