Wong Chin Po will direct an action movie about Shanghai for MVP

Won Chin Po was chosen as the director of the 10 millionth action film "Once Upon A Time in Shanghai" (Once Upon a Time in Shanghai) by company Won Jina "Mega Vision Pictures" (MVP).

Filming is scheduled for the end of April, the film will star Phillip Ng (Bodyguards and Assassins) and Sammo Hungg. Will do the choreography Yuen Wuping.

Phillip will play a poor worker from Shandong who moves to Shanghai in the 1920s to try his luck, but ends up having to use his fists. Sammo plays his teacher, master kung Fu.

      I read about Ng’s participation long before the news about Chow Yun-fat appeared, last year, but I like this scenario (with battles, not gangster shootouts) better.
