The premiere of the action film Special ID took place in Beijing

Today, October 14th, the premiere of the action film took place in Beijing "Special ID". The director was present at the premiere Clarence Fock, Donnie Yen, Jing Tian, Andy He and singer Yang Kun, performer of the title song for the film.

Ian said that he wanted to impress the audience by giving them exciting fights.

I play the role of an undercover cop who appears to be a typical scoundrel. I also took into account the performance of other actors. I thought for a long time about how to surprise my audience again. I don’t think this is my personal merit. On the contrary, this is the merit of our entire team.

Chinese actress Jing Tian played the role of a policewoman. At the premiere, she admitted that her long-time dream had come true with this role, adding that, besides her, there were a lot of contenders for the role.

For the first time on screen I shoot, fight, kill and race cars. This film means a lot to me.

It is reported that more than one hundred million yuan was spent on the production of the film.

Action movie in China "Special ID" will be released on October 18th.

I looked. With all due respect to Donny, this is marking time. The fights are mostly on the ground, the fights are not related to the plot. Andy's role has not been revealed. Collin's role is episodic. What I liked: car stunts.

    Nope.

    What a shame...!

I'll check again, it will be ready soon.

I can already guess what they wrote in that review. That Donny is repeating himself again, like STARS OF DESTINY or HOT Spot. That, having gathered stars, turned cinema into great violence, which prevails more and more, and all that in this direction. That throughout the entire film they show only the internal squabbles of the mafia. That instead of his kung fu philosophy in IP MAN and SWORDMAN, he was carried somewhere in the wrong direction...
Surely everything will be like that. But in fact, this is just a well-made entertaining action movie!

Jaidev, well, you found someone to compare. Completely different personal concept, charisma, type, type and style of thinking. Jackie is a unique, complex individual. He is not only a talented film practitioner, but also a world-class conceptualist. Donnie Yen is, IMHO, not a world-class personality, despite all his obvious and brightest merits, he is a product of his time. Of course, he reaches some extreme limits, but he doesn’t jump over his head. And (perhaps) not really trying. Jackie covers a huge layer of cinematic culture. Donnie really shows how tough he is, he is in some sense a perfectionist technician, who at the same time, as a rule, carries the same mood of battle. Dynamic, intense, with aggression, but the same thing. With the exception of pretentious flying on ropes. Jackie can be different.

I would say that this is a passing battle. Although one could loudly remind that there is still gunpowder in the flask, so to speak.
As for the comparison with DRUNKEN MASTER 2... Naturally. This is a movie legend. And who did it? Of course Jackie. And Jackie is not Donnie (with all due respect to this person) Jackie has something that Donnie doesn’t have. While Donnie shows how tough he is, Jackie just entertains the viewer. Although in essence the task is the same. DRUNKEN MASTER 2 has a very well-thought-out fight with a lot of finds. Just re-glue the fight and everything will fall apart. But mix up this fight between Donnie and Ken and you will see how nothing changes.
Why, DRUNKEN MASTER 2, the CIRCUS PERSONS had some interesting moves.
And the main thing in this fight is that they made Ken into some kind of clown, just with a mocking haircut. Then, dear friends, this fight should be essentially comical. And we only get a comical ending.

Well, duk!))) “Drunken Master 2” is one of the most epic fights in the history of cinema.

I’m looking forward to the film, but regarding the fight between Donnie and Ken, I can say that this is not the best “movie fight” on Ken’s part. The impression was slightly spoiled by some of his seemingly “childish” waving of his legs and the general “sweeping” of some of his movements. This is with an eye on the fight in "Drunken Master 2" - willy-nilly you compare. :)

Well, in any case, the shot at 1:08 turned out, in my opinion, blurred. There is no feeling of the reality of this blow, its harshness. In general, the more frequent the cuts, the shorter the takes and scenes, IMHO, the less visual contact and dynamics. More fuss and fuss. And a savvy viewer simply sees through this technology and understands that, for example, this one punch with a hand was filmed in five or six takes, and that this is essentially not a blow, but a deception. The actor raised his hand - they removed him, montage, he extended his hand - montage, they removed his fist separately - montage, the fist met his face - montage, the one who received the blow flies away (he is removed from the back) - montage, he fell to the ground - montage. Sometimes it looks good, but when it’s completely on topic and very sometimes...

I will support you in this statement! As for this blow, it caused me not so much blurriness as some kind of understatement. The blow is a targeted one in the choreography. Well, you understand me... there are some bright spots in the battle. And here is this peculiar point.
And there was a gluing and everything was somehow sharp and fast, and Ken didn’t really play back this powerful blow. And I should have.
Regarding the large number of splices and their appropriateness, it seems to me that the most striking example is the RICKSHAW with Sammo. Remember in the final fight with Billy Chow there is a part where the editing is simply unrealistic. Each blow is a separate frame, but how great it looks! And what energy!

At 0:58, Ken was hung on a rope in vain. The whole feeling was ruined. It was possible to do without it with the help of installation. But just at 1:08 - 1:09 it was necessary to remove the entire blow, and not tear it by editing it into 2 gluings.

Agree. Oh, what a waste!!! This spoiled the feeling of a real fight. At least there was no need to present it so rudely.
Regarding gluing to 1.08 - a controversial issue. This blow seemed to be intended to pre-end the fight; when after such blows you return to the starting position, it doesn’t look very nice. And the point is no longer in the blow, but in Ken’s reaction. But I would enhance the impact of this blow by pushing Ken straight into the wall so that he could break the already broken pieces of wood with his face. It would be spectacular. + there would be an element of hard comedy that would carry over into the scene with the gaming pieces.

It's clear. Let's wait...movies. On the contrary, I was impressed by TYAG2, but Special ID was not.

    Author's gravatar

I agree, I think that TYAG2 will outperform in battles.

    Why?

      Author's gravatar

I judge by the excerpts and teasers/trailers that have appeared. TYAG2 has not impressed me yet. Let's wait for reviews.

This couple will get a lot of trouble in the film.

Well... personally, I can’t wait to see this film. Of course, there were some mistakes, but in my opinion this is the best fighting game that has been produced recently.
