However, 2017 is not going to lag behind the previous year, and we present to you the trailers of two sports dramas on our subject.

Introducing the first film - a boxing drama called Chuck. True, the film will be released in European and Russian distribution under the title "Bleeder" (The Bleeder). "Bleeder" is about a boxer Chuck Wepner, who was an unofficial prototype of the famous movie character Rocky Balboa, embodied on movie screens seven times by forces Sylvester Stallone. The plot will revolve around ordinary liquor salesman Chuck, whose life changes in just one night in 1975 when he is selected for a highly publicized boxing match. The film will tell the story of Wepner's life, his relationships with the two main women in his life, as well as his fight with the legendary Muhammad Ali. The filmmakers assure us that the script is based on real events.

Chuck Wepner played Liv Schreiber (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), and the role of Muhammad Ali went to Puchu Hollu ("Dog life"). In addition to Schreiber and Hall, the film stars: Ron Perlman (Hellboy duology), Naomi Watts ("King Kong"), Elisabeth Moss ("Escape from Vegas") Jim Gaffigan (TV series “Law and Order”) and others.

The next film comes from Foggy Albion and is called "My name is Lenny" (My Name Is Lenny). This sports drama focuses on the life of a street fighter and actor Lenny The Guv'nor McLean is the brainchild of a British director Rona Scalpello (“Dangerous Dive”).

The film tells the story of Lenny McLean, based on true events, from a troubled and violent childhood to the beginning of his “sports” career and competition with boxer Roy Shaw, which culminated in a championship victory, after which Lenny was given the nickname The Guv'nor.

The main role in the film is played by an Australian actor. Josh Helman (Jack Reacher, Mad Max: Fury Road). Other roles: UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping ("XXx: World Domination"), Chanel Cresswell (TV series This Is England), Nick Moran (“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”), as well as a legend of world cinema John Hurt (“Alien,” “The Elephant Man”), for whom the film “My Name is Lenny” was one of the last after his death on January 25, 2017.
