It seems that in 2021 we will have "John Wick" и "Atomic Blonde" a direct competitor will appear. We're talking about an action movie called "No one" (Nobody).
The film is directed by a famous Russian video director Ilya Naishuller, who made a name for himself in Hollywood with adrenaline-fuelled first-person action films "Hardworker". Plot: an unremarkable and inconspicuous man lives an ordinary life until one day, saving a woman from an attack by bandits, he sends one of the hooligans to the hospital. Only later does he learn that it was the brother of an influential gangster, who now seeks revenge.
Played the main role in the action movie Bob Odenkirk (“Grab and Run”, “Day of the Beloved”), and he is accompanied by: Connie Nielsen ("Gladiator"), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future trilogy), Jean-Paul Monod ("Ocean's Eleven") Alexey Serebryakov ("Fan") Neven Pažićic (“Force Majeure”), rapper RZA (the “Iron Fist” dilogy) and others. A very small role went to the famous Russian actor Alexandru Pal (dilogy “Bitter!”).

Fantastic thriller "Death Zone" (Outside The Wire) is the brainchild of a director from Sweden Mikael Hofström, which may be the first thing visitors to our site are familiar with "Escape Plan" starring Schwartz and Sly.

The film is called "Swipe" (The Haymaker) and is a project of writer and director Nika Sasso. we already wrote about this film about three years ago, and now it seems the drama is getting ready for release.
The story revolves around a former Muay Thai fighter who now works as a bouncer in a bar. One day, the main character saves a charming transgender woman from a vile criminal, subsequently becoming her bodyguard, protector and confidant. She, in turn, tries to pull the main character out of the hole in life, returning him to the ring.
The main roles in the film were played by himself Nick Sasso и Nomi Ruiz (series “Messages from Another World”). The rest of the ensemble cast consists of: Veronica Falcon (TV series “Why Women Kill”), Steve Lord (TV series "Boardwalk Empire"), classic of world cinema Udo Kier (“Dancer in the Dark”) and famous female stuntwoman Zoe Bell (Death Proof, Django Unchained).

I would not exaggerate the importance of “Hardcore” in world cinema. A fun game with technology. And to be honest, the film itself gets boring after 30 minutes of viewing. I have suspicions that Naishuller’s status in Hollywood is about the same as that of some Art Camacho. Based on the trailer, the film is completely unimpressive; Bernhart’s name no longer guarantees even spectacular fights, and the actor in the leading role, who is far from the genre, does not inspire hope. I suspect that at most there will be a second “Act of Vengeance” with Banderas.

Except that the budgets and level of trust are very different between Naishuler and Camacho :)
The director of Hardcore is very, very interesting. But the trailer does not inspire something. Some kind of standard action movie, this has happened a million times, and the only highlight is a bracelet with a cat. Apparently, Greenpeace wouldn’t let a real cat pass, and the girl doesn’t like a dog.
