As soon as we entered the active phase of our project to bring results of action films for 2021 (by the way, if you have not entered your candidates in all nominations - please do this!), a Malaysian action film began to appear among the proposed nominees "Jay 2: Retaliation" (J 2: Retribusi), which completely undeservedly escaped the attention of our editors, since it is a sequel to the 2017 action film "Jay: Revolution".
New action movie directed Nazrul Asraff Mazhan и Nazim Shah, who previously worked exclusively as editors.
The sequel will continue the story of bodyguard Jay, who must rescue his Japanese boss Dato Hashima and his daughter from the businessman's hotel, which was captured by armed criminals.
The main role was again played by the actor Zul Arifin (“In a Cage”), and he is kept company Ashraf Sinclair ("Gol and Lipsticks"), Chen Yiming ("The Legend of Chen Zhen") Rosyam Nor (“Special Forces KL”) and others.
The film is still out 24 June 2021 year and is already available on various resources with Russian voice acting. If the film is worthy (obviously it is, otherwise it wouldn’t be offered), then it’s worth watching.
Let's turn our attention to South Korean cinema, which still manages to make crime action thrillers. One of these was a film called "Blood of a Cop" (The Policeman's Lineage).
The film was directed by the director Lee Gyu-man, previously noted for thrillers "Return" (2007) and "The Mortal Instrument" (2011)
Synopsis: Trying to get to the bottom of the truth about his father’s death, a young, principled police officer joins the team of an honored investigator who puts detection and arrest rates above all else.
The main roles in the action film were played by Choi Woo-shik (“Parasite”) and Cho Jin-woon (“Battle for Myongran”), the rest of the caste includes: Park Hee-soon (TV series "Doctor Brain") Kwon Yul ("Champion"), Park Myung-hoon (“Parasite”) and other actors.
"Blood of a Cop" will be released in its home country January 5 2022 years.
Let's finish today's selection of trailers with a Hong Kong crime thriller "Back to society" (Back on the Society).
Unfortunately, little is known about the film. For example, we were never able to find out who the director of the film is.
Someone in foreign sources says that "Back to society" is a frivolous remake of the South Korean action thriller "Deliver us from evil", but the official synopsis is slightly different: while in prison, the main character's wife dies in childbirth, and his daughter is sent to a social security institute. After leaving prison, he tries to raise his daughter on his own, but when a former sworn friend from a gang bursts into his life, the main character has to fight not only for his life, but also for the life of his child.
Fans of Chinese cinema will be pleased with the two title actors: Jordan Chan (“Extreme Racing”, “Ip Man: The Last Stand”, “Golden Work”) and Sam Lee (“Magnificent”, “Wild City”, “An Unexpected Witness”).
According to some reports, "Back to society" already out January 17 2021 years, but it’s still unclear: on what platform the release took place. One thing we are sure of is that we want to watch this movie!
