About preparing for filming  "Lucasa" с JCVD было announced a long time ago. At the initial stage the film was called  "Bouncer" ("The Bouncer"), but is currently named after the main character. Directed by a Frenchman Julien Leclerc (“Informant”, “Raiders”).

Lucas is an aging nightclub bouncer who is struggling to raise his eight-year-old daughter. However, during another confrontation, Lucas loses control and seriously injures a client of the establishment, which is why the bouncer is sent to prison and his daughter is sent to the care of social services. But things take an unexpected turn when Lucas is recruited by Interpol to capture a criminal leader operating out of Belgium. Lucas has no choice, because only by agreeing to the operation will government agents return custody of his daughter to the bouncer.

And recently the first sign appeared online - a gloomy teaser trailer "Lucasa", which turned out to be quite atmospheric and intriguing.

But the project "Mile 22", which has also been on our list of expectations for a long time, is a disproportionately larger project than “Lucas.” In addition to the main playmakers, Mark Wahlberg и Iko Uwaisa, in film Peter Berg involved John Malkovich Ronda Rousey и Lauren Cohen.

A CIA agent (Wahlberg) is sent to Indonesia with the task of escorting an important informant to a plane waiting at the airport. To reach their destination, they need to travel 22 miles from the city center. But the main character faces corrupt police officers, criminals, and heavily armed local forces. Everyone wants to get them before they get to the plane.

How... After Reid's budget masterpiece, get into the cast of box office block Wahlberg. Probably the guy never dreamed of this.

      Arthur,

Well, here it is... The boy has already been in both the mega-expensive "Star Wars Episode 7" and the very expensive "Skyline 2"... Yuwais is quite methodically moving up in Hollywood.

Both trailers are interesting in their own way. "Mile 22" could make a decent action movie, and "Lucas" really seemed atmospheric.

The “Mile 22” trailer didn’t evoke any emotions at all, this rap is off topic, and somehow it was shot cheaply, with no style or atmosphere. But Lucas intrigued me, and this despite the fact that I somehow no longer follow Vanya.

      Alex Ship,

I am captivated by the fact that Lucas is a French project, not an American one. Even if the end result is the same dregs and shadyness as Van Damme’s latest projects, then at least there is hope that “Lucas” will be filmed in some new manner for him, maybe the script will not be entirely “brown” ", or maybe the picture will be good (judging by the trailer). Van Damme, of course, is already walking into the sunset, but in my opinion, all he needs is just a good solid project that is not embarrassing to watch.

In general, age-appropriate roles suit Van Damme very well, although my favorite today is in “The Expendables.” And Iko Evans appears to be following in Tony Ja's footsteps. Martial arts is slowly but surely returning to big cinema, which is good news.

Van Damme's brutality is off the charts (without irony). I already wrote about 22 miles, it’s bombing.

Wow, "Mile 22" is really impressive! It should be good, I really hope so. :)
