The Expendables: Sylvester Stallone wins the case

Less than two months before the premiere “The Expendables 2” Sylvester Stallone won in court. Judge Jed Rakoff rejected the claims Marcus Webb on what is at the core “The Expendables” was his original idea, and Sly stole it.

In late October 2011, Webb filed a lawsuit against Stallone, to co-author Sly David Callaham and on the company "Millennium Films", Nu Image Films и Lionsgate. In his lawsuit Webb stated that his script is about “elite, highly trained mercenaries hired to overthrow a dictator”, was submitted to various film studios several years ago.

Webb claimed that the script “The Expendables” “strikingly reminiscent, and in places identical” his script called “The Cordoba Caper”. According to Webb, Stallone and his team must have read his version since they are so similar.

Lawyers Stallone They said it was unlikely because “The Expendables” this is an action movie in its “pure” form, and in the version Webb it's more of a privateer movie. The lawyers also noted that even before the script was completed WebbHave Callaham there were already several draft versions of what eventually developed into “The Expendables” 2010. The judge apparently agreed and dismissed the lawsuit.

Changing blows in pursuit of entertainment or unusualness is a normal thing + even if he does something wrong at the basic level... so what... he’s a MOVIE fighter, he doesn’t need to perform in the ring, and except for a small contingent It’s unlikely that anyone will notice such jambs.

In addition, there are examples in combat sports when a person technically performs punches clumsily, but they work and cut down opponents from fight to fight.

PS It’s well said about Chan: basic strikes are average, acrobatics are average....but at the same time he is deservedly one of the best movie fighters =)

Personally, I want something new and unusual.

Black Belt, for example, they do reverses correctly and bend their legs and return them after blows. Yesterday, by the way, they showed Destroyer with Stallone, so there Wesley Snipes bends his legs after being hit (when he tries to break the side window in the museum).

Is this the one with Tatsuya Naka in it? So this is the exception rather than the rule. If everything in films was done "by the book", they would be boring to watch. Personally, I want something new and unusual. You can, of course, watch old films for the Nth time, but this is not an option. The style in these videos is different, so it’s not entirely correct to compare.

By the way, Jackie doesn’t have a front kick, but that didn’t stop him from becoming popular. He captivated the audience with other tricks.

They don’t even return their legs after blows, but throw them away. How can you say that they move well, they don’t know basic technique.

Or you can look at examples of the correct “elementary” technique with interesting, not dull on-screen battles? Or are we talking about the UFC?

Aka Wirat Kemklad / Virat Kemgrad. Stuntman, double and actor from the Fighting Club team. Watch the film BKO and everything will become clear to you. I recently posted a video from this film, only with his participation (there are 9 people there, each with their own style).

Cool offtopic. We need to somehow translate the extra in which Zhao is accepted into the “pioneers”, but never gets around to it. And there are a lot of errors in the text... :)
