Never Back Down 2 will be directed by Michael Jai White

After box office receipts that were twice the budget of the first film, it is not surprising that the creators "Never give up" (Never Back Down) decided to make a sequel. This time the emphasis will be on fans MMA and a darker atmosphere - more stylistics from "The Dark Knight" and less of "Melrose District". Here's Why Studio Heads Hired a Famous Martial Artist Michael Jay White, putting him in the director's chair. Similar style White not new, many remember his role in the last film about Batman.

To add a little credibility and realism, they use Eddie Bravo (Eddie Bravo), founder of the academy jujutsu "10th Planet", who will write some musical compositions, star in one of the roles, and will also help with the choreography of fights.

Heavyweight UFC Todd Duffy (Todd Duffee) will play one of the fighters, and the fighter MMA Scott Epstein (Scott Epstein), instructor from "10th Planet", he will get double work - in addition to playing the main role, he will be involved in staging fights. Michael Jai White, the film's director, will play the role MMA instructor.

Shooting “Never Give Up 2” are set to begin this month in New Orleans, NY. Louisiana. There is no information about the release date yet.

Once again, Jack Tyler is a fictional screen character. If we are talking about Sean Faris, then his filmography can be found here.

It’s a shame that there won’t be Cam and Sean!(((( Without them it’s a completely different film!

without the heroes who were in the first part it will NOT be INTERESTING!! YOU NEED TO AT LEAST LEAVE FIGHTER JAY AND THEN IT WILL BE NORMAL!!!AND THE FIRST PART IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! DON'T OVERDO IT WITH FANTASTIC!! MORE REALISM AND IT WILL BE COOL!!!

Zhenya, you are late with your wishes. The film was made without Sean and Cam.

Will Sean Faris star in the sequel? Never Give Up is the story of Jack Tyler's character, without him the meaning of the film would be lost. Those. It will be a good standalone film, but it won't justify itself as a sequel. But if Sean is invited to act, then everything will be different. But even without Cam (Raen), this film will also have nothing to do on the shelves. The confrontation between Jack Tyler and Ryan McCartney, and then their try-on on professional grounds - this is the meaning of the film. And their teaming up in the sequel and participating in the Unlimited Fighting Championships in the USA as a team - then it would be just a great sequel. Or an idea - a newcomer (like Jack in the first part) comes to them at school and shows what he is capable of. Well, then you can develop and twist the scenario as you please. The main thing, in general, is the actors Sean and Cam.

    Well, interesting news.
The first film is good, let's see what the second one will be like.

Let's see what happens, I liked the first part. :) But about the choreography - yes, there is such a theme, for example in "The Expendables", what kind of flickering?! I watched this film in the theater and it was not always clear to me who hit whom... Although Corey Yuen (he was the director of the fights with Jet Li) can be understood - he probably was not allowed to work with the camera (as is usually the case when Asians star in American films, "The Matrix" doesn't count, Yen Woo Ping-wu was entrusted with camera work :)).

Great news, Michael and even such a master as Bravo will make a film, cool, of course it’s unlikely to be the same as the first one. After all, the first one is the best MMA film.

    Added English. options.

Jason, “Jiu-Jitsu” is the most common Russian-language version. You can, of course, write “ju-jutsu”, but here we are talking about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is practiced by Bravo.

I’ll try to write about “The King of Fighters”, I just didn’t have time to even look for it myself.

EvilDollaR, please write the names of the actors and directors, next to the Russian translation also in English (better, right away in English, translation into Russian is not needed.) It is unlikely that people come to this portal who need a translation of the names of the directors of scenes with martial arts and martial arts masters into the Russian language. Besides you, no one else writes about these people in the entire Ru.net.
By the way, EvilDollaR, how could you write “jiu-jitsu”? =)

    In order.
The first film, Never Back Down, as they say, “there aren’t enough stars in the sky,” but overall, it’s very good, keeps the plot and the action level.
The idea of putting Michael Jai White in the director's chair is very controversial. The news about the filming of the second part is certainly encouraging, I'm looking forward to it and I can't hide it. Personally, my fears are that Michael Jai White is not far from Sly in the craft of director. As a director and consultant, he is undoubtedly good, knows his stuff. But there is one big BUT, a huge BUT, which is very frightening. Let the creators, the second part of the film Never Back Down, preserve and save from the style of “The Dark Knight”, those deities they worship, otherwise the film will be ruined and doomed to failure even before its release!!! Not only is there a crisis in the field of fight directors, everyone from directors to stuntmen is engaged in this craft, but there are also colossal problems with scene lighting. Many fight scenes in past action films of the summer season were ruined by the lighting staff and precisely by the emphasis on “stylistics.”
Personally, I really like the idea of inviting White to play the role of mentor, a wonderful choice. What’s alarming is the next line “To add a little credibility and realism,” stop, stop, stop, the first part specialized in exactly this, where else? The main thing here is “not to pour pepper into the pan”! If only there were no crazy jumps of the camera and the style of the video clips, otherwise it would be very, very bad. I would not at all want to see in this film only continuous “crazy triangles and subtargets” on the carpet; if the entire film consists only of them, it will be absolutely unwatchable. Otherwise, we are waiting for the trailer =)

    PS
EvilDollaR please post the news about the release of The King of Fighters. The DVDrip is of excellent quality, it’s been online for a long time =) I would like to discuss this news and hear the opinion of the site’s readers about the film.
