I just meant that just one comrade - specifically here with yellow hair and a red kimono - with such seriousness and pathos, completely takes the whole atmosphere to the level of grotesque (in the cartoon he looked adequate, but here he simply escaped from the circus). SF just decided to get as close to the original as possible... and overall they look okay (Thank God, Ryu doesn’t have thick false eyebrows here like in their short film) The only ones who really look funny... are the character Ans, and Joey himself Somehow it fits in crap.

Maybe someday, in a galaxy far, far away, years and centuries from now, one of the film makers will finally understand that what looks appropriate in a comic book, cartoon or computer game will only cause laughter in a feature film.
