Actually, I was a little intrigued by two tiny teasers for a short film by Joey Ansah and Owen Trevor called “Street Fighter Legacy” with John Fu and starring Christian Howard. To be honest, I wanted to translate the information about the future film published by Joey Ansah (fans of “Bourne” may remember him for his role as the assassin Dash), and ask the authors about the duration of the action movie (15, 30 or 40 minutes?). But, having learned that the film was released just yesterday, on Thursday, and its total duration is only 3 minutes and 12 seconds, I was very disappointed. Although I am a fan of console fighting games, I never expected such a pittance. This is one fight. Yes, just one. :(But filmed with the consent of Capcom. :) And this film, or more precisely, the battle, was filmed for almost a year. Yes, that's not a typo. The whole year.

Fans of “Street Fighter” will be pleased, but fans of the bloody “Mortal Kombat” are unlikely to like this short film. Although…

Luckily, the creators have posted videos of the making of the fights and designing the costumes, as well as some images of Ryu (John Foo) and Ken (Christian Howard). Personally, I liked the making-offs more.

PS In the videos and photos there was a game character named Blanca, if I'm not mistaken. Joey Ansah sees his idea as a short film project. Maybe he will not limit himself to a single fight, and his plan will develop into a normal full-length film, after which the creators of “Street Fighter” with Van Damme and “The Legend of Chun-Li” with Kristin Kreuk will be ashamed of their creations. Time will show.
