Yae: Blind Samurai Woman

Female director Aikiko Izumitani collected funds on crowdfunding platforms for a web series about a blind girl who is also a sword master. However, the company did not collect the required amount, after which this short film was born.

Movie action "Yae: Blind Samurai Girl" takes place in 18th century Japan. The main character is a doctor who heals people in exchange for their eyesight. One day, a young samurai comes to him and his father’s shelter to avenge his father.

The main role in the film was played by the actress Yuvi Kim (TV series “The Real Big Sketch”), who trained for three months in sword fighting under the guidance of a master and a stuntman Tsuyoshi Abe. Other roles include Nobuaki Shimamoto (“Faster than a bullet”) and Masa Kanome (“Camouflage and Espionage”).

It's A Little Bit Funny

It's been a while since the classic of independent action cinema pleased us with his short films. Vlad Rimburg, and so... we waited.

Like all the latest videos from Vlad, this one is more of a concept than a full-fledged plot battle. Vlad reminds us that he can shoot stylishly and interestingly, even if it is not entirely clear what is in front of us.

The following stuntmen took part in the video: Shai DeBro, Cameron Okubo, Jordan Okubo, Ryu Minami, Keenan Carr, David Alarcon, Sean Rea и Bronte Colizzio.

haste

A movie called "Rush" after two years of crowdfunding, finally appeared on the British stuntman's channel Jonah Alagoa.

This is the director's film Eddan Sussex about the confrontation between two former friends and current sworn enemies.

They sort things out with each other John Alagoa и Danny Darwin.

Identity

A French stuntman made a cool short film Brian Vigier, who has been working in the industry for a long time and has participated in projects such as "Athena" (2022) "Overdose" (2022) and "John Wick 4" (2023)

Actually, the film was shot in the style of the latter "Identity", in which two agents liquidate a weapons warehouse.

The main roles were played by himself Brian Vigier and a stuntman from his team Noe Allaire.

Star Snatchers

A Finnish editor and independent film director presented his new short film Mikko Löppönen, which could be remembered from the film "Demon Hungter".

The new short film is a brutal sci-fi action movie called "Star Stealers" and he talks about a squad of space mercenaries who got into trouble.

Starring: Jessica Wolf, Risto Mikkola, Judit Ziva others.

Hit Me (With a Stick)

Martial arts practitioner and stunt performer Alex Chun (TV series “The Boys”, “See”) developed the concept and came up with the choreography of the fight, where a person is attacked by his naughty body, using a fighting pole.

A stuntman took part in a funny short film Dylan Rampulla.

The self-beating was the most original and interesting to watch. Worst of all is “Star Thieves.” Rimburg - nothing is clear, but very interesting. The rest is moderately good, but there are not enough stars in the sky.
