Short films The Witch, Abibe, The Collector, Mortal Kombat, Ronin and "Nightmare"

It seems, Brian Sloyer, known in the indie martial arts scene, took a short break between major feature-length projects, in which he took part both as a regular stuntman and as a fight choreographer ("Day of the Trigger", "Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings", "GI Joe: Rise of Cobra. Snake Eyes"). This means that he and his team have time to make the short films that made Brian famous.

The Witch

If you follow Sloyer's work, you know that his videos rarely have a full-fledged plot. Basically, his team's short films are built around a specific idea or concept. The movie became the same "Witch".

In any case, we love Layer’s videos for the interesting concepts of hand-to-hand scenes and for the execution, which is worked on by real professionals in their field.

Main role in "To the Witch" performed by the actress Donna Lee (“To the Stars”), who fought in a duel with Andrew Franklin, Justin Chan, Shai DeBro и Caitlin Houston.

Monument

Sloyer's next video explores the theme of loyalty and patience through two conflicts.

For this video, Brian teamed up with another big name in independent action cinema. Jay Kwon, who played one of the roles.

Other roles include: Andrew Franklin, Caitlin Houston, Peter Sudarso, Kyle Murillo and himself Brian Sloyer.

The Collector

A new short film has also appeared from a regular in Indian action comedy - the French director Godefroy Ricvert.

The author's new project is called "Debt Collector" and tells the story of a collector in a near-future setting. He came to “dispossess” the eccentric owner of a nightclub where it is impossible not to dance.

The stunt coordinator was Jerome Gaspard, and played the main role Maxime Ecoiffier.

Scorpion vs Sub-Zero

Everyone’s favorite guys from the creative association also featured a new short film MartialClub.

The team members played on the popularity of the film "Mortal Kombat", which is designed to relaunch the popular game universe in cinema.

In their video they encountered the inherent comedy component Andy Le as Scorpio and Di Why Sao as Sub-Zero, or to be precise, the people who play these characters.

Ronin – Samurai Dropout

A very short sketch from the guys from Art School Dropouts, but interesting in that it is stylized as black and white Japanese manga comics.

The idea is appropriate - a fight between two samurai in the classical style.

They fought with swords Joey Min и Stephanie Pam.

Nightmare

A 4-minute comedy sketch also appeared on the Russian channel "Stuntmen Stuntmen".

The guys shot this video while on a business trip. It’s a pity they didn’t indicate who took part in it. But the video is funny. Honestly.

«The Witch" and "Monument"- not bad (though nothing special) fights. It's more worth a look than not.

«The Collector“- and this guy can compete with Eric Jacobus in creativity. I subscribed to it after the video with “Coronapocalypse”.

«Scorpion vs Sub-Zero“- these, as always, burn and wet.

    «Ronin – Samurai Dropout- I didn’t look.

    «Nightmare" - a funny miniature.
