Iko Uwais in the projects "Mile 22" and "Foxtrot Six"

An interesting project called "Mile 22" started moving again. Let us remind you that the film should star a Hollywood actor. Mark Wahlberg, silat master and actor Iko Uwais and former UFC champion Ronda Rousey.

We have already wrote about this project, who stopped at assembling the main cast of the film. After this, Rhonda was forced to take a break from preparing for the filming of the film, citing sports commitments. Then Mark Wahlberg, who worked on other films, dropped out of the project.

However, according to the information provided by the resource Variety, and Wahlberg and Rousey are back in the cast. Director and producer of "Mile 22" Peter Berg (“Battleship”, “Patriot’s Day”) began pre-production of the future film.

Apparently, the film will still take place with the trinity of announced actors: Mark Wahlberg ("The Departed"), Iko Uwais ("Merantau") and Rhonda Rousey ("Fast and Furious 7"). It also became known that if Peter Berg’s film is successful with audiences, it may well be that "Mile 22" will become a trilogy.

The film is about a CIA agent (Wahlberg), who is sent by his superiors to Indonesia to escort an important informant to an airplane, which is located 22 miles from the city center. However, the main characters will be confronted by corrupt police officers, criminals and armed local soldiers, who must prevent the couple from reaching their goal.

We can only wait for further news about the project.

It is likely that the film fighter who is actively gaining popularity Iko Uwais (“Raid 1-2”, “Raid: Bullet in the Head”) joined the cast of the Indonesian sci-fi action film called "Foxtrot Six" (Foxtrot Six), which is produced by a famous filmmaker Mario Kassar. He has produced such legendary films as "Rambo: First Blood" (1982) "Remember all" (1990) "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991) "The basic Instinct" (1992) "Rock Climber" (1993) and many others.

The project first became known back in 2015, when the developments for the film were provided by a debutant Indonesian director Randy Korompis. In addition to Mario Cassar, the film is produced by Ario Sagantoro (“Raid”), who invited the stars of the “Raid” dilogy to the project Yayana Rukhyana и Chechepa Arif Rahman in order for them to do the action in the film.

Just recently Paradigma Pictures spread a rumor that Iko Uwais might play in Foxtrot Network. However, there has not yet been confirmation of this information either from the director, or from the producers, or from Iko’s colleagues in the workshop - Rukhyan and Rahman.

We hope that the trio who worked on the second “Raid” will still reunite in the project Foxtrot Six. In the meantime, let’s keep our finger on the pulse and admire the teaser poster of the future sci-fi action movie.
