Stars of Vietnamese combat films Johnny Tri Nguyen и Veronica Ngo, who scored joint hits "Rebel" (2007) and "Once Upon a Time in the East" (2009), teamed up again for a short film "Blade and Soul" (Blade & Soul).
Star Johnny Nguyen went down just as abruptly as it came up after the film "Rebel", where Nguyen demonstrated his abilities as a movie fighter to the maximum. However, after Johnny's directorial project "Chinatown" banned from showing in Vietnam in 2013 (the film was never released), the actor took part in various projects in minor roles, and also worked as a host and announcer in a Vietnamese MMA show.
Career Veronica Ngo turned out somewhat better. Without stopping working as a model, Veronica took the director's helm, making two films: "The Last Dragon" (2015) and "Tam and Kam: The Untold Story" (2016), where she also played one of the main roles and performed producing duties. Ngo also appeared in the American wuxia epic from Netflix "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny" starring Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen, and the 2016 Vietnamese adventure hit "Bitcoin Theft". In 2017, Veronica can be seen in one of the roles in a Hollywood blockbuster "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and urban fantasy from Netflix "Brightness" starring Wil Smith and Noomi Rapace.
Blade & Soul is a short film that is also a commercial for the computer game of the same name, which is a fantasy genre with elements of hand-to-hand combat.
We offer this film for viewing.
