Adkins in solo action movie, Adkins and Saror in J.J. Perry's film, new project of Johnny Nguyen and Iko Uwais

Our everything from martial arts to modern British cinema Scott Adkins He was seriously involved in projects, being an extremely efficient actor. To the confirmed projects of the British, like the Egyptian action comedy Matrah Matrouhand "The Lights Go Out", "Cruelty in Action", "Devil" и "Last Chance 2" A couple more projects have been added.

The first is the main role of Adkins in the film called "Shelter" (Take Cover), directed by a veteran stuntman Nick McKinless, who began his career in 1999 and eventually became a respected director and stunt coordinator, working on such large projects as the second and third parts "Matrices" (2003) "Sherlock Holmes" (2009), franchises "Harry Potter",  "Fast and the Furious", "Transformers" and many others. Wrote the script for the film Joshua James, responsible for the script "A Pound of Flesh" with Van Damme.

The action film is about a world-weary professional sniper who finds himself locked in an all-glass penthouse with deadly rivals and must find a way to survive and escape with little to no cover between him and another professional sniper.

"Shelter" should become a high-quality action movie, where at the moment, in addition to Adkins, the cast includes representatives of the stunt profession: Billy Clements (series “Andor”, “Communication”, “Citadel”, “Gangs of London”), Renars Latkovskis ("Tenet", "No Time to Die", "Code 355") and Lucy Cork (Assassin's Creed, The Witcher series), and also an actor Jack Parr (TV series Peaky Blinders) and actress Madalina Bellariu Ion (TV series "Pennyworth")

The film is in the active shooting stage. The premiere is scheduled for next year.

The second project is a very interesting action movie by Scott’s friend, a martial artist, stuntman and director. JJ Perry. we already wrote about this comedy action movie called "Game of Killers", in which he plays the main role Dave Batista (Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy).

Let us remember that the plot of the film is built around a veteran killer who finds out that he is gradually dying and offers a reward for his head. And now we know who big Dave will be up against, since the wide cast of actors has become known.

Of course, our brother will immediately be struck by the names Scott Adkins (Undisputed franchise) Marco Zarora ("Undisputed 3", "Wild Dog") and Daniel Bernhard (“The Matrix 2-3”, “Atomic Blonde”). But the names of the rest of the cast are also worth taking a closer look at: Pom Klementieff ("Guardians of the Galaxy 2-3"), Ice Cube (“City of Streets”, “Three Kings”), Shayna West ("Warrior Queen", "Black Widow"), already mentioned above Lucy Conk ("Black Widow"), Hong Li (TV series “Banshee”, “Warrior”) and professional wrestling star Drew Galloway (aka McIntyre). We also remind you that an actor has already been assigned to the project Ben Kingsley (“Schindler’s List”) and actress Sofia Boutella ("Kingsman: The Secret Service").

Active filming of the action comedy should take place this summer.

On foreign websites on our topic, everyone perked up when they learned that the Vietnamese martial artist, stuntman, actor and director Johnny Tri Nguyen (“Eclipse in Saigon”, “Once Upon a Time in the East”, “The Seventh Sense”) arrived in Indonesia to participate in some secret project, where a silat master and actor also takes part Iko Uwais (duology “Raid”, “Ali, Steer!”).

Soon a photo appeared showing off Nguyen, Uwais and the Thai model-turned-actor Goth Jirayu Tantrakul ("Nemesis"). After this, rumors appeared that these three could film a new hand-to-hand action movie, but everything turned out to be simpler and more prosaic: the trio was filming a commercial for a mobile role-playing game Rise of Kingdoms.

It's a pity. Let's hope that Johnny and Iko will one day fight on screen in a feature film. Would you like them to collide?
