Brutal. Trailer for the Cannes Film Market

15-year-old Trevor (Morgan Benoist) is abducted from his backyard by aliens. Forced to fight in the extraterrestrial fighting arena for nearly two decades in brutal duels against other abductees, Trevor transforms from a harmless boy into a ruthless fighting machine.

Kidnapped accident lawyer Derek (Jeff Hatch) is the latest guinea pig forced to fight Trevor. Weeks and months pass, the opponents beat each other harder and harder, but gradually humanity awakens in them.

Taking elements from Twilight and The Prisoner, Brutal is a blend of science fiction, allegory and psychological drama, exploring the nature of human cruelty and our tendency to commit unspeakable acts of violence against each other. However, through this lens of cruelty, our ability to love even under the worst circumstances is revealed, and this is worthy of praise.

It is not recommended for children and people with weak mental health to watch!

Why is everything so bad with “Cruel”? Judging by the rating on IMDb, someone has already seen the film, but finding it is not an option :(

Judging by the photos from Facebook, the footage was filmed only for the teaser with the trailer. If the film does not interest any buyers at Cannes, then it is not a fact that it will be filmed at all. In this regard, Dean and his Reflex were more fortunate: he had already started looking for filming locations, and it turns out that the action movie had already been purchased.

We took the ending of the film The Fighting Ring as a starting point, in the middle there was something like Unisol and Spartak. Even theoretically, a revival of the ability to love is not observed.

More like a promotional trailer without any footage from the film itself. The creators are clearly fans of Unisol 4, but they decided to make it even tougher... which is why it turns out to be pure trash, absolutely not interesting to me.

Looks more like a teaser. Well, or trailers have evolved, I don’t know.

By the way, this trailer gave me the idea of creating a kind of video for the film. The trailer is simple, but there's something about it.
