Thai director Norachai Kaichapanont (Norachai Kajchapanont) is working on a biopic about the great Muay Thai fighter named Samarth Payakarun, the drama is called "Mard Payak: Great Muay Thai Fighter"(Mard Payak: The Great Muay Thai Fighter). 

The film will tell the biographical story of a real world-famous Muay Thai fighter - Samartha Payakarunа. His achievements in sports are impressive. Led by a coach Yodtong Senanana out of 150 fights, he won 129. He is a repeated champion of Thailand, bearing the title of national hero of this country. In addition to his career in sports, Samarth Payakarun has already starred in several films (Muay Thai Chaiya (2007), Flying Thai (2006), Bodyguard (2004), Fury (2003)), and the 52-year-old “Jade-faced Tiger” (as he was nicknamed in the ring) is also involved in music.

Movie "Mard Payak: Great Muay Thai Fighter" was already shown last month on Bangkok Asian Film Festival, and will premiere in theaters in Thailand this weekend.
