Looks like effort Kevin Tancharoen, who directed the short film “Mortal Kombat: Rebirth” (Mortal Kombat Rebirth), paid off. Company "Warner Bros." through its division dealing with DTV films (Warner Premiere), officially announced that it will work together with Tancharoen on a web series "Mortal Kombat". Filming is set to begin next month in Vancouver.
Mortal Kombat will be available for purchase this spring through Warner Bros.' online digital sales system. The series is an anthology consisting of a large number of short action films, each of which provides never-before-seen looks at the characters of the upcoming video game, as well as the game universe itself. Additional details, including cast, will be announced in the coming weeks.
