Trailers for the films "Invisible Tattoo", "Prose of Stray Dogs: The Beast" and "Keppai"

Gangster action "Invisible Tattoo" with Chinese martial artist and actor Vincent Zhao starring, went into production back in 2017. The film was planned for release in 2018, but something went wrong and the project was shelved, as often happens.

However, in 2022 we are again talking about "Invisible tattoo" director Li Yituna ("Lost in Wusun"). In 2017, the big news was that the founder of parkour was taking part in this project David Bell. At that time we did not yet know that the Frenchman would seriously “sign up” for Chinese cinema.

The film's events take place in 1935 around Achan, a seemingly ordinary tattoo artist who, however, is part of a secret society of rebels fighting the Japanese invaders.

Company Vincent Zhao (“Wuxia”, “True Legend”, “God of War”) and David Bell (franchise “District 13”) consists of actors: Raquel Xu ("Demon Hungter") Kenya Sawada (“Ip Man: Birth of a Legend”) and others.

"Invisible Tattoo"will finally receive an online release January 14 2022 years.

Japanese martial artist Koichi Sakamoto began working as stuntmen in the early 90s in American B-movie action films, eventually taking on the responsibilities of an action director and then a director. But his name is most often associated with the franchise "Power Rangers", as well as other tokusatsu-like series and films.

Sakamoto-san has long since moved to his homeland and is working in Japan, filming TV series and films mainly for local TV. But, being a talented fight choreographer, he still attracts attention with some of his projects, the latest of which is a fantasy action movie "Prose of Stray Dogs: The Beast" (Bungo Stray Dogs), based on the manga by Kafka Asagiri.

Sakamoto's TV movie takes on an alternate comic book history, pitting young detective Ryunosuke Akutegawa as he tries to save his little sister from the clutches of the port mafia and the hellhound Atsushi "White Reaper" Nakajima.

The main roles went to young actors Sohei Hashimoto ("Report on the Violence of Spirits") and Yuki Torigoe (TV series "Farewell Enari-kun")

The 130-minute film appeared on Japanese TV January 7 2022 years. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'll see a translated version of the action movie any time soon.

Let's finish today's selection with another Japanese film, but this time a parody comedy. Yes, a painting called "Kappei" can be classified as a “strange” genre of the Japanese film industry.

The film is the first directorial work of the famous producer Takashi Hirano (“Drive”, “Moonchild”, “Zebraman” duology) according to the script Yuichi Tokunaga ("Liar x Liar", "Lupin's Daughter. The Movie"), which in turn adapted the comic book series Kiminori Wakasugi.

Synopsis: 1999. On a remote island, the boy Kappei and other boys, under the guidance of a wise sensei, are trained in martial arts to save humanity from the end of the world predicted by Nostradamus. But in 2022 it turns out that the apocalypse is cancelled. The teacher disbands the group, and Kappei goes to Tokyo, where he will learn what love and friendship are.

The main role in the comedy was played by a Japanese film star Hideaki Ito (the “Sorcerer” duology, “The Last Sword of the Samurai”), the rest of the caste includes: Moka Kamishiraishi (“Children won’t understand”), Arata Furuta (“13 killers”), Yukiyoshi Ozawa (Hobo Kenshin franchise) and other actors.

Comedy "Kappei" will be rented 18 March 2022 year.
