Thanakorn Pongsuwon is going to direct the action film Lethal Strike

Director "Fireball" Thanakorn Pongsuwon is apparently the busiest man in Thailand. Not only does he have several projects in the pipeline for Thai audiences (a prequel to “Fireball” and the horror film “Bangkok Fable”) - he recently announced that in March next year he is going to begin production on a new action film called "Lethal Strike" (Death blow). Almost the entire film will be in English, and it will be shot using technology 3D. Here's the official plot description:

In Thailand, in an era of violence and corruption, a new brutal underground tournament has emerged in which Muay Thai fighters compete in fights in an arena known as “The Dog Tank”. In this dangerous world, an American operative and Muay Thai fighter will have to cooperate against his wishes. One fights for justice, and the other fights for revenge.

In film Pongsuwon will pair English-language actors with its Thai fighters. If you look closely, you can see a guy from "Fireball", who performed well in the first film.

Scott will look like Uncle Scott against the backdrop of Muay Thai fighters, IMHO)))

It’s just that at that time there was a boom in fighting games in Hollywood and a lot of money could be made from this, but now films of a different kind are in vogue there, which is why they don’t make pure fighting games anymore. But Thailand is much more backward in this regard, they are not able to make all sorts of blockbusters, there are enough dramas/comedies in the West, but fighting games are the best, but we must admit that they do it quite well... although not a single film before still cannot compare with the first Ong-Bak, in my opinion.

If only Pongsuwon doesn’t screw it up, otherwise he likes to zoom the camera into his face, shake it hard, and then in the editing room chop one blow into 10 parts...

and here’s something else, I noticed. If in the 90s they churned out films about underground tourneys with all our favorite Bolo Yeung, Cynthia Rothrock, Jalal Merhi, Matthias Hughes, David Bradley, Lauren Avedon and we watched with great pleasure, now these actors in most cases it is not visible, moreover, films with similar themes are not released. And Asians, in particular the Thais, are great at churning out similar films one after another, yes!!!! Huge respect for them and special respect. I think people who study and are fans of BI will agree with me ..IMHO!

yeah, it would be great to see Scott in this project, or at least Daniel. And lately Gary has been playing very small supporting roles)

A strange name for a fighting arena. The Dog Tank is clothing for dogs. :D But it could well mean something like an enclosure or pen.
