Gangster series "Warrior", which became a very interesting project for fans of combat cinema due to the large number of hand-to-hand fights, after the second season on the channel Cinemax was closed. However, fans were able to save the series with their votes, and at the moment the third season is at the stage of active filming for demonstration on another streaming platform - HBO Max.

And immediately there was good news for fans of the martial artist, actor and director Mark Dacascos (“Drive”, “Brotherhood of the Wolf”, “John Wick 3”), who was included in the cast of the third season for the role of a certain Kong Pak - the former leader of the gang absorbed by Long Tzu and an old friend of mentor Lee Yong - a character played in the series by the former Judo champion and actor from Indonesia Joe Taslim (“Raid”, “The Night Follows Us”, “Hit and Run”).

In addition to Dacascos, an actress was signed for one of the prominent roles in the new season Chelsea Muirhead, which may be familiar to visitors to our site for her role in a science fiction film about women's underground fights “Survivor. Blood and metal" (former "Spare parts").

The main role is still assigned to Andrew Koji (GI Joe. Rise of Cobra: Snake Eyes, Faster than a Bullet), who plays Ah Sahm, a young Chinese immigrant who wants to find his sister in late 19th century Chinatown.

It is not yet known when the third season is planned to start "Warrior", but we are all really looking forward to it, because the series became the best according to visitors to the FFI website in 2019 и 2020 of the year, Andrew Koji for the role of A Sama third line in the list of the best actors in action films for 2019, and hand-to-hand fights from the first and second seasons were noted in the best fights for 2019 и 2020 years respectively.

Rumors immediately spread online that Conor had been cast in the role of the main villain of the film named Jimmy, who he played in the original Marshall R. Teague. However, specialized media hastened to clarify that the Irishman is playing a new character specially invented for the remake.

Shooting "Roadside Diner" have already started, and we should expect the premiere no earlier than the second half of 2023.

Film adaptation of a gangster computer game "Sleeping Dogs" was discussed immediately after the game was released back in 2012, but it was in 2017 that it was announced that the main role in the action film should be played by a Chinese action movie star Donnie Yen (Ip Man franchise). After which nothing was known about the project until 2020, when Ian assured fans the fact that the film adaptation plans are alive and he is about to start filming. But then the coronavirus pandemic hit the world and... "Sleeping Dogs" everyone forgot again...

... until the last Comic-Con, held in San Diego in July 2022. The convention's guest was a Canadian stuntman and the star of a comic book blockbuster Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) - Sim Liu. When asked about his upcoming projects at a conference, the actor had this to say:

- I probably shouldn't talk about this. We're just in a hurry. But there is one video game with an Asian-American protagonist set in Hong Kong. Can I work on a film adaptation? I do not know. And I won’t mention the name - I don’t want it to sound, I don’t want to rush. But I'm really excited and excited to do [the project].

Everyone instantly agreed that Simu was talking about the long-suffering film adaptation Sleeping Dogs, however, it is unclear whether Liu could be assigned the main role? After all, according to the plot of the game, the main character is a fairly young man, and Donnie Yen Today it is already 59 years old.

In general, we are waiting for more information. Perhaps due to the popularity Sim Liu, the project can actually be launched into the active phase.
