Today's selection will consist of two projects, which, however, are highly anticipated by the community of action movie fans. And despite the fact that one film will be released in the near future, and the second – already next year, these projects are connected by directors who were once professional stuntmen.
About the first of them - a mystical action movie "Day shift" (Day Shift) we already wrote, since the project is the brainchild of a martial artist, stuntman and action director JJ Perry, for whom the film became his directorial debut. No less intriguing was the news that in "Change" British martial artist and actor will take part Scott Adkins, to whom Perry promised he would cast him in his first directing project on the show. The Art of Action. One of the producers of the film is the author of the franchise "John Wick" - Chad Stahelski.
The story revolves around a hardworking father who is trying to provide a better life for his 8-year-old daughter. Except his day job as a pool cleaner is just a cover. In fact, he makes a living by tracking and killing vampires.
The main role in the action film was played by a famous Hollywood actor Jamie Fox (“Ray”, “Django Unchained”, “Ali”), and the rest of the cast in addition Scott Adkins (Undisputed franchise) are filled with: Dave Franco (dilogy “The Illusion of Deception”), Snup Dogg ("Training Day") Karla Sousa ("No place for saints here") Steve Howey (“Ali, steer!”), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“The Greatest Showman”) and other actors.
Since professionals in their field worked on the film, we carefully studied the list of stuntmen. Several familiar names are responsible for the local action: Michael Lehr, Felix Bettencourt и Eric Brown, and the stunt coordinator is Troy Robinson (Fast and Furious franchise). We noticed a beauty in the stunt camp Shai DeBro (understudy for Karla Sausa), as well as stuntmen Jeremy Figeralda, Andrew Franklin, Justina Yu, Arnold Chon and the freerunners we know Braxton McAllister и Michaela McAllister.
On streaming giant Netflix "Day shift" will appear 12 August 2022 year.
The trailer for the long-awaited fantasy sequel has also appeared online. "John Wick", the premiere of which was postponed to 2023.
The film is still directed by its author and ideological inspirer Chad Stahelski. We worked on the script Derek Costald (John Wick trilogy), Shay Hatten ("Army of the Dead", "Army of Thieves", "Day Shift") and Michael Finch (“Hitman. Agent 47”, “Countdown”, “Mercenary”).
There is no official synopsis for the fourth part yet, but we do know that in the new film, the most feared hitman in the world of hitmen will avenge his fall (literally and figuratively).
Still a hard worker in a leading role Keanu Reeves (The Matrix franchise, Constantine), and in the rest of the cast one name is brighter than the other: they will return to their roles Ian McShane ("Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides") Lance Reddick ("One Night in Miami", "Godzilla vs. Kong") and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix trilogy), and among the “new kids” who took part in the film: Bill Skarsgard (dulogy “It”), Shamir Anderson ("Strikes") Clancy Brown ("Highlander"), Rina Sawayama (TV series “Turn it up, Charlie!”), as well as action actors who need no introduction: Donnie Yen (Ip Man franchise) Hiroyuki Sanada ("Mortal Kombat"), Scott Adkins ("One Shot") and Marko Zaror ("Undisputed 3").
Of course, the stunt team is also in perfect order: the action in the film is handled by talented Jeremy Marinas (“xXx: World Domination”, “Baby”) and Laurent Demyanoff (“Taxi 5”, “Powder Cocktail”), and among the stuntmen we found the following familiar names: Hiroo Minami (stunt double for Hiroyuki Sanada) Cha-Li Yoon (Donnie Yen stunt double) Saori Izawa (stunt double for Rina Sawayama) Anthony Fo, Lorenz Hideyoshi и Mike Moeller.

What was so captivating about him?
Yes, I love comedies in such a cheeky style. There is, of course, a possibility that the film is much more boring than the trailer, but I’ll hope for the best. Again, “Blade” is not a comedy, but those signature “Motherfucher, are you out of your damn mind?!” look like an excellent comedy and an excellent brutal pathetic action movie at the same time.
The movie is great! Absolutely in the spirit of the trailer!
