Official trailer for Choy Lee Fut

With a slight delay, I present to you the new official film poster. “Choi Li Fut” (Choy Lee Fut).

This is a story about two best friends (Sammy Hungg and Kane Kosugi). They live in Europe and they really like martial arts. The guys are masters of the Hungg Gar style, which was taught to them by Hungg's father (Sammo Hung). When they wanted to learn new styles, they decided to go to China and master Choy Li Fut kung fu. The character Kosugi wants to learn Choy Li Fut because of his grandfather, who was once defeated in a fight by a girl fighter. He always wanted to study style, but he never had the opportunity. After arriving in China, the friends learn that the Choy Li Fut school has been challenged by their competitors. Hungg and Kosugi enter a martial arts tournament to save the future of their school.

By the way, when watching the trailer, I noticed Sam Wong - he hasn’t been seen for a long time. Let me remind you that this guy is remembered by many (probably) for his fight with Jackie Chan in the film “Police Story 3: Super Cop” (in this film he was also one of the fight directors) in a training camp. Moreover, they write that he seems to be the fight director here (or one of them).

In style, it’s very, very, very similar to the recent film Wushu with Sammo. Apparently it will be the same =( Advertising for young actors who are destined to take the baton from the famous masters. I really hope that they will show high-quality work with “bench” twisting, pole twirling no one has been surprised for a long time, and that scene with the pole, which is shown in the trailer, only resembles “B” class films from 97 =( Some kind of dancing, a modern gym (show work with classic Chinese weapons in ancient locations) and this notorious fighting ring is “a step forward” in Chinese. The scene with the 3D location is something. The soundtrack doesn’t leave much to be desired, it just screams, you’ll hang the composer on the yardarm. It’s good that they didn’t add some trashy rap to the soundtrack.

I have high hopes for this film for seriously choreographed fights. Seriously staged fights in the style of southern wushu schools! :)
