To say that "Finish them all 2” Better than the first movie isn't high praise, but honestly, I enjoyed watching it. Despite the obvious use of stunt doubles, there's plenty of action, and the movie only runs about 85 minutes.
Plot
Philippe encounters a Russian-French terrorist who wants to take revenge on him for the murder of his brother.
Review
I don't think anyone was looking forward to the sequel."Finish them all off” , which still remains one of the worst films Jean Claude Van Damme, so I had low expectations. However, this is a surprisingly better film than the first, and I dare say I enjoyed watching it.
The film has many flaws, such as the usual use of stunt doubles in most of the action scenes. In one of the phone conversation scenes, the voice is poorly imitated. Van Damme, which reminds me of the times of films Steven Seagal, which were released straight to video, and where he didn’t even record the entire dialogue.
"Kill 'Em All 2” Luckily, it's only about 85 minutes long, and there's enough action in that short running time to keep the film from feeling too long. Peter Stormare plays his usual two-faced friend, in which he is often typified. In real life, by the way, he is a very nice person.
Andrey Lenart plays the main villain Vlad Petrovich, who is seeking revenge for Philippe (Van Damme) killing his brother in the previous film. Philippe lives a quiet life with his daughter, but when Vlad's men come after him, they find themselves in danger again.
I will always protect Van Damme, even if no one likes his movies, because he was my childhood hero.
The plot is quite simple, but I like action movies that definitely live up to expectations. I don't remember the first part very well, but I remember that there was Daniel Bernhard as the antagonist. The villains in this movie are mostly stereotypical Eastern Europeans who don't leave much of an impression. I would have preferred a full-on hand-to-hand fight with Vlad in the finale... but the ending is still enjoyable.
Generally, "Finish them all 2” (which should have been called "Finish Them All Again") is the best sequel, although not the best. Van Damme. But I still enjoyed watching it - the film was short and unobtrusive.
