In the 80s The Cannon Group Inc. was one of the largest independent film studios in the world, which worked with major state film institutions such as Thorn EMI Cinemas, Elstree Studios и The Path Film Library. This lasted until the production facilities of the film studio and institutes merged into MGM Studios in the mid 90s. Led by Israeli producer and director Menachem Golan (1929-2014), the Cannon film studio successfully worked with such action stars as Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, Richard Chamberlain, Franco Neuro, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Dudikoff, Sho Kosugi, Jean-Claude Van Dame and others.
Today's famous directors also worked at the studio. John Cassavetes, Barbette Schroeder, Andrei Konchalovsky and others were filmed at facilities Cannon Films some of his best paintings. Their huge advantage was their incredible performance, but their disadvantage was the indiscriminateness of what they received in the end.
