Patrimony

A new historical action game was jointly released by the team Adorea Swordfighting Team And company Troy Horse Film from Sweden, which have already been included in our selections with the film "Knight of Hope".

The events of the guys' new creation take place during the Renaissance and will tell about duty, friendship and betrayal. In the staged battle, rapiers and daggers were used.

Played the main role Vaclav Kopa.

Last Tune in the Black Forest

A new film has appeared on the channel Akademia Szermierzy from the guys from Poland, who are seriously involved in the reconstruction of battles with the use of edged weapons and, from time to time, filming corresponding short films and videos.

A 34-minute film called "Last Melody in the Black Forest" tells the story of a personal war against the Teutons of a certain partnership in the setting of the turbulent period for Poland at the beginning of the 15th century.

The film was made Rafal Kalus, and the cast of the short film included: Piotr Malarski, Tomek Biernacki, Magda Kalus, Sonya Mlinarzyk and others.

Subtitles in Russian are included.

To The DEATH

Another fencing film, but this time the prototype of the local choreography was lightsaber fights from the universe "Star Wars".

In fact, we have a rethinking of choreography using lightsabers from the guys from the special effects studio Corridor crew. It is interesting that the director of the fight in the film was Luke LaFontaine, familiar to us from work Scott Adkins, like a duology "Collectors" (2018, 2020) and "Wild Dog" (2017)

In film "To Death" The following actors took part: Kendall Wills, Stephen Dunford, Jordan Coleman и Purya Rahbar.

A Bunch of People Fighting for no Reason

A martial arts practitioner, stuntman and director, who has not appeared in our collections for a long time, celebrated a new comedic action sketch Seidou Kazama.

He conceived his new short project while in lockdown due to the pandemic, and, in fact, filmed fights without any plot, which, in fact, is reflected in the title of the video. As the description under the video says, so as not to lose shape. Well, we quite liked this light madness.

Roles performed by: Kayla Hymas, Marie Saito, Allen Quindigan, Fekla Khatyrova.

Gladiolus

Martial arts and stuntman practice on the channel Jason Lee the second part of the Hong Kong-style tokusatsu action film called "Gladiolus". Lee posted the first part on his channel back in 2019.

The films are about a man named Luke, whose dark past weighs him down with guilt. But in order to save the once beloved girl, he must use the cosmic powers of Gladiolus.

Apart from the Jason Lee, took part in the project: Rodney Wong, Jane Wong и Craig Miller.

Since two years ago we for some reason bypassed the film, this time we are publishing two parts of this tokusatsu short film at once.

Patrimony — the style of the historical film is perfectly maintained. I really liked the fencing scene. There seem to be older men there, quite heavy, not supermen, not masters, but there is an impression that they have been holding sharp pieces of iron in their hands for half their life. There is a feeling of fighting to the death.

Last Tune in the Black Forest - also an excellent style, a full-fledged historical film. But practically not an action movie. There are fights with the use of sharp pieces of iron, but it’s more like one stabbed another, and that one was stabbed by a third, and the fourth threw a spear, and the fifth shot the sixth with a bow.

To The DEATH — the norms were removed, it’s not for nothing that Corridor. Fencing - yes, we tried to rethink how fencing would change if the blade weighed nothing and was monstrously sharp. But the dramaturgy sucks. Because of this resurrection machine, all the tension was gone. So, it turned out to be a little sparring.

A Bunch of People Fighting for no Reason — I don’t mind spending five minutes to watch it, but I could do without the billiards scene. Behind the scene I looked at it with surprise with interest, although it didn’t seem to be about anything.

Gladiolus — Hong Kong Be-shka. Tricking and choreography are normal - the force of the blows is not felt. Not to mention the alternating attack of three against one.

But overall, I won’t add any of these videos to my collection.

Not all, probably... But I really liked “Captain Alatriste”. :)
