2022 is inexorably coming to an end. Some are waiting for their 13th salary, some are waiting for a week's vacation, and some can't wait to start cooking Olivier. Well, the FFI editors are eager to sum up the fighting films of the year.
Following an established tradition, we searched the entire Runet to understand which films on our topic are still available to Russian-speaking viewers and can take part in our voting.
Films we were expecting, like boxing dramas, were not available with translations "The Invisible Fist" with Yu Ronggan and "The Boxer's Way" with Danny Chan. Also, for some reason, the thriller will not reach the viewer "Exiled: The Chosen", although the film appeared on streaming channels a long time ago.
From those films that we classify as indie projects, mystical action films directed by Vincent Soberano became available - "Blood Hungters: Rise of the Hybrids" и "Circle of Bones" starring Sarah Chan. Action films have also become available "Over the Edge", "Operative" (in our translation "Trainer"), "Days Are Numbered 3: Destruction", "The Siege of Robin Hood" и "Kung Fu Ghost".
In the camp of sports dramas with Russian translation appeared: Chinese MMA drama "Liberated" and boxing drama "Boytsuha" и "One Second Champion" (you can read about these two here) and Bollywood MMA drama "Liger".
Wuxia projects "The Hidden Fox" и "Assassin's Song", samurai action films "Wild Dance of Swords" и "Burning Sword" with Junichi Okada, Malaysian historical epic "Mat Kilau" and kung fu movie "Blind Sword" (Aka "Disobedient").
Among the Asian films this year, we waited for Japanese hand-to-hand action films "Hydra", "Killer Kids" и "Pure Japanese", Malaysian action comedy "It's all because of you" with Khairil Azrin, Chinese long-term construction "Invisible Tattoo" with Vincent Zhao, a hit in online cinemas "One More Shot" with Luis Phan, Indonesian action-adventure "Ben and Jodi" with Yayang Ruhian, Chinese crime thriller "Back to society", action "Blind War" with Andy On, internet film "Ip Man: Awakening of the Master" with Xie Miao and "Strike group" with Jordan Chan.
Egyptian fighter "Desert Strike" with Mike Tyson, British "Gardener" with Gary Danielson, American "Commando" with Michael Jai White, French "Kung Fu Zohra", unfinished construction "The Green Ghost and the Masters of the Stone" with Marco Zaror, Western "Terror on the Prairie" with Gina Carano, action "Double Threat" and horror action "Operation Legion".

“Kung Fu Zohra” sucks. A completely unfunny drama about the suffering of a lady married to an asshole, although the trailer set it up for comedy. The action is somewhere on the level of inferior backyard productions. I came across it by accident and didn’t remember at all that they had written about the film here.
I haven’t watched everything else listed, and to be honest, I have no desire to watch it. Maybe Killer Kids.
