"Beyond the Game" - another clone of "The Expendables"

Ever since Sylvester Stallone started filming his "Expendables", which bring everyone's favorite characters of the 80s back to the big screen, he has a lot of followers trying to "cook the same dishes, but with their own sauce."

You already know that the idea to film your own action movie about mercenaries with famous actors in the past came to Comrade Nevsky, who has already finished my"Showdown in Manila" together with Dacascos. Also, they have already come to light and failed "Mercenaries" (2014), Christopher Ray. Another project from Avi Lerner, which is being worked on, has a self-explanatory name "Unstoppable beauties"Indonesia does not herd others and does its own thing"Garuda 7" ....well, don’t forget about the possible Chinese version"Expendables"led by Donnie Yen...

Beyond the game

And now the time has come for the next “patient”. It's an action film in post-production."Out of the game" (Beyond the Game). The film will be a sequel to 2008's Lost Warrior: Left Behind. The director and producer of the film will remain the same Erken Yalgashev .

Will play the main role in the upcoming action movie Olivier Gruner, and he will be assisted by:  Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa, Armand Assante, Eric Roberts, Mark Dacascos, Kristanna Loken, Kelly Hu, Tommy Lister, Danny Trejo, Costas Mandylor, Tony Todd , Michael Madsen, Kevin Sorbo , Bai Ling,  Martin Cove, Steven Bauer, Billy Zane  и Patrick Kilpatrick.

You've probably already noticed that many of this list previously overlapped in other projects, in particular, no matter how funny it may be, some worked together on "Showdown in Manila"...is this already mass production?

How do you feel about such projects? On the one hand, they return to the screens actors whom many have already forgotten, but on the other, participation in dubious undertakings can seriously damage their reputation.

I read the name of the director in this news - Erken Yalgashev, and I think that instead of a strong action movie, it will turn out to be a boring trashy sub-action movie with conversations and low-quality special effects! And the only plus will be the cast!
I remember I was waiting for a long time for “Close Combat” by the same director. There are a lot of celebrities in the cast: Cung Le, Bolo Yang, Tagawa, Oleg Taktarov, David Carradine, Olivier Gruner, etc., but as a result the film turned out to be garbage!
Yalgashev knows how to recruit action stars into his films, but he cannot properly realize their potential!

Oh, well, if so. then I agree, it will be quite nonsense:

      1) pretentious bazaars in thieves' tones between villains and politicians in dark glasses and jackets with suitcases with bucks (they will be played by Tagwa, Roberts, Assante), who will appear for 5 minutes, but will be shown from the "thieves' perspective" of their trips around the city on Mercedes and arrows (Brigade, Kazakh-Chuvash militants - I have nothing against the Kazakhs, I like their Reketir, but they abuse the cliches of mafia militants)
      2) arthouse elements in the form of a jerky camera, blurs and other things. Long tedious training montages, a celebrity in the role of GG’s teacher (for example, Dacascos, who will not appear anywhere except in flashbacks)
      3) The remaining super galaxy will give the heroes tasks over the radio, and the heroes will be played by unfamiliar actors or MMA specialists. Gruner will be killed in the first battle or during the credits, and his avenging brother/student will be.
      4) The villain will be pathetic and interesting, but will be killed not as a result of a final fight for half an hour, but in the back by the main character’s girlfriend (yes, I quoted the Russian TV series The Fighter)
      5) The film could be partially saved by a catfight (as trash makers Fred Olen Ray and Jim Wynorski did) between Hu and Loken (fortunately, both are experienced in this - Bloodrain, The Chinese Policeman and From Cradle to Grave), but most likely, one will play the secretary, the other - a Chinese contact who will be killed soon after her appearance.
So Idk. But I would like better.

As for the continuation of “The Lost Warrior,” I looked for this warrior everywhere for a long time, but I never saw it anywhere. Maybe someone was lucky enough to watch it, brag about it... The cast of "Offside" seems to be excessive; they will light up for 1-2 minutes, those who know how to play are in the role of important guys in suits, those who don’t are in the military uniform of some colonels :) In general, nothing good will happen. I was also pleased by the text about the “Mercenaries” that managed to fail - how could something that had nowhere to fail fail?

I think it's going to be crap. If it comes out.

I feel good. If only there was a good script and high-quality (or adequately) staged action - like in the first Expendables (dir. version) and NOT like in the same mercenaries.
They forgot to mention the Russian Salamander Key, and here’s my reaction to it right away http://movie-rippers.livejournal.com/32450.html

Whose reputation is there to spoil? Kevin Sorbo? Or maybe Martin Cove and Michael Madsen))?
