Film adapted and directed Yoshiyuki Kishi, who previously marked himself as a detective "Double life" 2016 year.

There is already a synopsis for the film: the action takes place in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo in the near future. It is there that the life threads of two guys intersect: Shinji, recently released from a juvenile detention center, and Barican, suffering from excessive shyness and a stutter. These people, burdened with life's difficulties and searching for themselves in this world, will meet in a boxing gym in order to become friends and resolve seemingly hopeless situations with the help of boxing.

The main roles of the sports drama include: Masaki Suda ("Gintama") Yang Ik-chun ("Close Enemies") Anna Konno (“Hey, he’s psychic!”) and other actors.

The filmmakers immediately counted on a duology, deciding to release the second film with a small gap from the first in 2017. By the way, since we are talking about boxing dramas, it is worth reminding our readers that films such as "Jaw" и "Bleeder" are already out and you can/should watch them.

We offer you to watch the trailer of the duology "Oh, wildness", which will go to Japanese theaters October 7 and 21, 2017.

The next sports drama came to us all the way from Finland and it is dedicated to fencing. Actually, the title of the painting "Swordsman" (The Fencer or Miekkailija in the original) speaks for itself.

There have already been films in our selections where serious emphasis was placed on the philosophy of martial art associated with fencing: Japanese films can be cited as an example "Uzumasa's Footlights" и "Battle Song", where the art of kendo played a major role in the plot. "The Fencer" appears to be similar to these films, despite the general plot aimed at telling the story of the fate of man.

The film is based on the biography of the legendary Estonian fencer and coach Endel Nelis (1925-1993), who in the early 50s flees to escape the NKVD, since he was previously part of the German army. Endel found refuge in his homeland - in the tiny town of Haapsalu, where he began teaching fencing to schoolchildren. But the past finds Nelis even in Haapsalu, and now the fencer is forced to decide: whether to stay with his students, preparing them for competitions in Leningrad, or go on the run again.

The film was directed by a Finnish director Klaus Härö, famous for his dramas "New person" (2007) and "Letters to Father Jacob" (2009)

The role of Endel Nelis was played by an Estonian actor Cyril Kyaro (“Diary of a New Russian”). Starring with him in the film were: Lembit Ulfsak (duology “The Legend of Tila”), Märt Avandi ("Red Mercury") Ursula Ratasepp (“Midsummer’s Day”) and others.

In its homeland, “The Fencer” was released back in 2015, but only went into wide release 11 August 2017 year. We offer you to watch the film trailer.
