Famous Japanese franchise "The Great Teacher Onizuka", which tells the story of a strict but fair teacher with a dark past as the leader of one of the most respected youth gangs, has a comic book series, two animated adaptations, as well as a feature series and TV film.

Eikichi Onizuka made up the story Toru Fujisawa in 1990, but the franchise gained popularity with the 1999 anime adaptation. Since then, Japanese filmmakers have returned to the story of Onizuka from time to time.

A series from Amazon Japan is about to be released. "Cool Teacher Onizuka: The Early Years" from the directors Eiji Uchida (“Rock Love”, “Double Mint”) and Nobuhiro Suzumura (Kamen Rider and Power Rangers franchises).

Synopsis: early 90s. The future teacher Onizuka was then still a wild high school student and constantly got into trouble with his gopnik friends. But, of course, the boys were more interested in the girls than the street fights.

This comedy series, which, of course, has room for hand-to-hand combat, features a trio of main actors: Kanichiro Sato (“Chrysanthemum and Guillotine”, “Tiwawa”), Daichi Kaneko (“Lie to Me!”, “School Life”) and Yurina Yanagi (“Night of the Vampires”, “Polymer Hurricane”).

The first season of the series Amazon will 28 February 2020 year.

A trailer for another successful franchise, a cyberpunk series from Netflix, has also appeared online. "Altered Carbon" (Altered Carbon), which became a successful film adaptation of the novel Richard K. Morgan.

The series took third place in the category "Best Action Series" in summing up the results of action films for 2018, since the project had enough spectacular fights.
