In today's selection of trailers, we will delight fans of action films with TV series.

Trailers for the series "Obi-Wan Kenobi", "Circuit" and "Good Morning Sleeping Lion"

First on our list is the long-awaited series after its announcement three years ago. "Obi-Wan Kenobi" across the universe "Star Wars". Previously streaming channel Disney + has already produced TV series based on the famous science fiction franchise - "The Mandolorian" (2019-2020) and "The Book of Bobba Fet" (2021)

The showrunner and director of the six-episode series was Deborah Chow, responsible in addition to TV series Star Wars for projects such as "American Gods", "Mr. Robot" и "Kingdom".

The story centers on the iconic Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, who watches over young Luke Skywalker after the events of "Revenge of the Sith" (2005) and hides from Imperial hunters during his exile on Tatooine under the command of Darth Vader himself.

The 51-year-old returns to the role of Kenobi Ewan McGregor (“Trainspotting”, “Big Fish”), and Darth Vader will again appear on the screen Hayden Christonsen (“In Exile,” “American Heist”). The rest of the ensemble cast Joel Edgerton ("Warrior", "The Great Gatsby"), Kumail Najani (“Ali, steer!”), Song Gang (Fast and Furious franchise) and others.

We're hoping for the same spectacular lightsaber battles that the second trilogy was famous for. George Lucas and the name of the 87Eleven team veteran Jonathan Eusebio (John Wick franchise) as a stunt coordinator puts me in a positive mood. The fight choreographer is a seemingly long-lost (not really) martial artist, stuntman, and freerunner. Matt Mullins ("Blood and Bone", "Wrath of the Vajra", "Deadly Combatant"). In the camp of stuntmen there are completely familiar names: Cha-Li Yoon (“Plan B: Screw Plan A”), PeiPei Alina Yuan (TV series "Shooter"), Amy Stardivan ("Jack Stone") Rene Moneymaker (“Birds of Prey: The Fantabulous Story of Harley Quinn”) and others.

TV Show "Obi-Wan Kenobi" starts on Disney+ with 27 May 2022 years.

From an expensive series for a streaming platform, let's move on to a cheap project by a martial artist, actor, director and producer Jalala Merhi (“Tiger Claw”, “Cop 2000”, “Wait to Die”).

We are talking about a serial continuation of the trilogy "Vortex" starring Olivier Gruner. We already wrote about this project, but since then the action series has not become available to the masses. It’s interesting, but according to previous data, the series was supposed to have four episodes, but now they are talking about 13 episodes with an hour of timing.

Synopsis: Former underworld champion pugilist Dirk Longstreet tries to deal with the demons of his past while helping new friends along the way.

The main role is still played by the 61-year-old Olivier Gruner (“Savat”), and his company consists of: Eric Roberts ("The Expendables") Patrick Killpatrick ("Never give up"), Richard Tyson ("Black Hawk"), Luke Gregory Crosby (“Astro”) and martial artist and star of hand-to-hand action films of the 90s Billy Blanks (“Cool and Deadly”), who apparently has the title supporting role.

Merhi still does not name the release date of the series "Vortex", but now the release year is 2022. Well, a new trailer was delivered.

Let's finish the selection with a series from Japan with a strange name "Good morning, Sleeping Lion" (Good Morning, Sleeping Lion), directed by a cult (in some circles) martial artist, stuntman and director Koichi Sakamoto (Power Rangers franchise).

Synopsis: Kazuma Kujo is an entertainment manager in middle age, but still deeply passionate about his job. One of his charges, idol girl Reimi Watanuki, has become the target of a mysterious group of villains, and Kujo must protect her.

The main role in this 10-episode project was played by a veteran of tokusatsu series and screenwriter Seiji Takaiwa (Kamen Rider franchise, Lupine's Daughter series). The rest of the cast includes the following actors: Miho Watanabe (TV series “One More Time: Mind”), Takayuki Tsubaki (Kamen Rider Decade series), Masahiro Inoue (“Garo: Club of God”) and others.

On TV channel Hikari TV the series starts April 23 2022 years. As with other Sakamoto-san projects, we would take a look at this one too.
